CHAPTER 3

Chloe's POV

It was cold. Ass-freezing cold would be a more accurate description.

I paced around the door to the hotel, it's 6. Where is he, did he forget I was joining him and left without me. It was just then I saw him by the door.

"So," I said, raising my eyebrows. "Running."

Ian blinked, "Yeah running."

"How many miles do you do every day?" I asked.

5 miles, most days some times more.

"But since you're just starting out we'll walk the first and then running the mile in the middle."

"I don't want to slow you down. I can do the 5," I say panicking a little.

I'm not actually a fit person not even a gym person but I recently joined one in Paris. My best friend Mia always questioned why I had a great body and never actually work for it and the answer is I don't know that either.

"Of course you can but let's do this today," he says flashing me his beautiful beautiful grin.

Apparently I'm not a great runner, half a mile through I had already slowed down, gasping tiny breaths.

Seeing my condition, he slowed down. "Let's walk from here."

"No it's okay, I can do this" I begin to say. "Of course you can but let's slow down so we could talk."

"So in Paris what did you do after work." He asked

"Nothing, mostly went home and binged on my Netflix. Once a week, went out with girlfriends from work. Nothing exciting though."

"Well that's why I'm here, Big-brothering you and getting you out of your routine kind of thing."

Okay I really needed a life, forget seducing Ian for now but both my sister and brother were right. I should get a life.

I followed his gaze to where my arms were crossed over my chest. I winced inwardly before admitting, "My boobs hurt. How do guys do this?"

"Well, for one, we don't have . . ." He waved vaguely to my chest region.

"But, what about the other stuff? Like, do you run in boxers?" Holy hell, what is wrong with me. I can't believe I just blurted that out but for a reason I was comfortable around him.

He looked at me confused. "Boxers?"

"You know, I look down at his trouser pointing with my eyes. I assume your man parts move during the run. Don't you need something to keep it from moving."

He laughed out loud, closing his face with his hands before finally answering.

"Yeah no boxers, it's better if it moves freely. I wear running shorts to keep everything down there safe," he adds flashing me a grin.

We walked back to hotel slowing down as we continued talking.

"I guess we girls are lucky then, no need to keep down there safe while running." Ian laughed at that as he slowed down more.

"You know you're the expert on that, so tell me."

"Expert on what?" He asked confused.

"You know girl parts." I said.

He looked at me skeptical.

I moved closer to him raising up on my toes and whispered to his ear, "pussy expert."

"What?" He asked again shocked at what I just said.

"I remember you and Andy conversing on how you were the expert one summer when you were spending it with us."

"How do you remember all that, you were probably about 13 or so. Even I don't remember that.

And I don't remember you being this open either, you really have grown up Coco." He says taking his time to look at me up and down.

I smiled, my stomach floating with butterflies.

"So what about you, we haven't talked about you."

"What do you want to know,” he asked as we stood in front of the hotel.

"How's your job, you like it? I mean the company?"

"Yeah I do actually, that's why it was particularly easy moving to London."

"And your family, your parents, your sister. Oh and your brother, I remember Andy mentioning you two being close.

"They're all good, my brother Ethan is good too he got married recently. My mom complains about me being in London all the time but beside that it's all good. I mean I miss them and all but being here is kind of what I need right now."

I wanted to ask him to elaborate but didn't feel like I should so I didn't, there was something in his voice when he talked about it.

"Are you dating anyone" I blurted out after a pause. My question was completely inappropriate but we're on our way to becoming friends so I didn't think he would mind.

"No I'm not," he said.

"So still a player, I see. No one has caught your eyes" I asked again studying him.

“No not in a while, beside Andrew needs me as a wingman.” He says flashing me a grin.

"So why are you diving into the world of the living now?" He tilted his head as he turned the conversation back to me. "I know Andy and Chrissy want you to have a more active social life, but come on. You're a pretty girl, Coco, in fact you're gorgeous It can't be that you haven't had offers."

I bit my lip for a second, amused that of course Ian would assume that, for me, this was about getting laid. The truth was . . . he wasn't entirely wrong. And there was no judgment in his expression, no weird distance around such a personal topic.

"It's not that I haven't dated. It's that I haven't dated well." I say avoiding his gaze.

"You're young Coco there's plenty of time for that, now it's time for you to have fun. Stop worrying about that."

"That's the reason for worrying, I will be 23 soon and I've only successfully dated one guy. Most women my age have more experience and worrying is just a part of me. There's no way to escape it.

When you were my age I'm sure you have had a lot of experience."

He nodded, quickly adding "that's beside the point. Coco you'll be fine, sometimes I wished I had slowed down a little when I was your age."

"I took a deep breath, watched him carefully before saying, Teach me. You told my brother you'd help me, so do that"

"Pretty sure he didn't mean help my sister get laid." His dark brows pulled together as something seemed to occur to him.

"Are you asking me to set you up."

"No no, I want you to teach me how to date. The rules, for casual relationships."

"I'm not sure, I'm suppose to do that. Andrew won't particularly like this conversation."

"Well let's keep it between us, by the way you said you would do anything to help me."

"I'm still not sure about this" he says.

"C'mon I pout, it will be totally harmless. And I really need your help."

"Okay okay, Uhnmm I'll be busy for the next few days you probably won't even see me around the hotel but during the weekend we could start your lesson."

"Okay thank you Ian.” I say as we use the elevator up to our floor.

With my heart pounding a little, can't believe I got him to agree to it.
