Possessive Meets Fierce

Chapter 1: New home

- Eva's POV

Starting somewhere new is never easy, especially when you feel you need to look over your sisters however physically can't. Setting in the car listening to rain fall down on the roof as we get driven to my uncle's home, I have my sisters currently leaning against me. My little sister is asleep on my lap. I gently stroke her hair to keep her at ease while she dreams. While my other sister who is the same age as me is currently bouncing her leg nervously while staring at the window. Smiling gently, my hand goes to her leg stopping her from continuing her nervous habit.

"Cara, everything is going to be alright. Stop worrying so much..." I tell her in hopes to help ease her however Cara being Cara doesn't know how to do that. She just sighs heavily and puts her hand on top of mine.

"What if they find us again?" She asks me timidly. I don't respond immediately however I squeeze her hand reassuring her. She squeezes mine back.

"I will not allow them to get to you two, do you understand me? They will never hurt either of you while i'm still breathing." I state to her with a promised laced in my voice. She goes stiff before she shifts so that her head is laying on my shoulder. Her long hair brushing against my arm.

"It shouldn't be on you to look after us. I mean your only older by a few minutes." I chuckle at her statement and gently pat the side of her face. Shaking my head, I kiss her gently. She sighs again and starts playing with my hand. Her fingers leaving a slow trace on my palm.

"It could be a few years like Leila or few minutes however I will still be older and want to protect you. You both are my only concern and I will continue to focus on you two until-" My statement being cut off when her hand whips up to my mouth stopping me from finishing. When she realizes that I'm done, she lets her hand fall from my mouth and continues to trace my hand with her fingers. I lay my head back on the seat and think about how we got here or what all we have gone through to still be standing.

I have two incredible sisters that are polar opposites from me. Cara is my twin although we do not look it. She is around 5'9'' with a slender build and platinum blonde hair that falls down to her mid back. She has hazel eyes and light sun kissed skin. She is shy and reserved but always happy. She will help anyone who she feels needs it and goes out of her way to make people smile.

My little sister is Leila who has dark blonde hair that is constantly in tangles. She is 11 years old and little bit of a nerd. She is too smart for her own good however she does know how to play soccer as well as any boy. She is strong willed but rarely talks to anyone other than myself and Cara.

I, on the other hand, have fiery red hair that goes down to mid back. My eyes are sapphire blue according to my sisters but how would I know. I haven't seen my reflection in 8 years. I am 17 years old, about 5'10'' and very fit. I lost my sight when I was 9 years old, the same day I lost my mother. It wasn't supposed to happen however loosing my sight only made me stronger and more determined to find the man who haunts my sisters and me.

The car came to an abrupt halt outside pulling me out of my thoughts. The driver opened his doors and got out of his seat. I gently nudged Cara to wake her up and then re-shifted Leila in my arms so that she could still rest in my arms. Leila whom was still asleep locked her arms around my neck. After Cara gently slid out of the seat, she reached her hand back to grab mine to help me to my feet. The driver was opening the trunk getting out our luggage out.

"You ladies have a beautiful home." The driver said to us as he lead us to the front door.

"Thank you.." Cara said while tugging on my arm. I allowed her to drag me to the door. She stopped when I heard the driver knock on the door before turning around and asking us if we needed anything else. Cara and I shook our heads and thanked him for the ride. He walked back to his vehicle while the door swung open.

"Ah, my beautiful nieces!" My uncle Drake bellows from in front of me. Cara jumps up and hugs him while I stand there holding Leila. Drake motions for us to come in however places his hand on my shoulder squeezing it lightly while we walk in.

"Welcome home my girls..." He said leading us to what I believe is the living room. He places his hand over mine to guide me to the couch. Once I feel it on the backside of my leg, I gently sit down to not wake Leila. Uncle Drake sees that she is still out and chuckles before calling for a housekeeper, Maria.

"Maria, can you come get my niece and move her to her bedroom?" I immediately put my hand on her back pressing her to me.

"That is okay Uncle, she is fine with me until you show us to our rooms." I hear shuffling of feet and turn my head towards the direction of the sound. She gives off the strong smell of cinnamon and apples. I feel her lean forward towards me. My instincts telling me to not let her go so I continue holding her to me.

"My dear, I promise she will be looked after." My uncle speaks up again, his voice soft attempting to reassure me. Cara taps my arm and my muscles relax while I sigh. Leila is lifted from my arms leaving me feeling cold from where she was.

"I'll go with her just in case she wakes up." Cara speaks while standing up. I hear her feet moving to follow Maria who is carrying Leila somewhere in the house leaving me alone with our uncle.

"It has been too long Eva... I am glad you have decided to take up my offer."

"I will do anything for my sisters." The couch dip beside me as he gently puts his hand on mine.

"Are you still training?" He asks me.

"I haven't for a week since we left but yes. Do you have a gym here or will I need to find one?"

"We have one here and if you are okay with it, I would like to continue your training myself?"

"I don't mind... just know that my plan has not changed." I say while removing my hand from his. He doesn't say anything in response but sits there in what I believe to be deep thought. The couch moves again while I hear the rustling of his pants.

"I didn't think anything would change that mind of yours so that is fine." He takes my hand in his and pulls me up lightly so that I am standing. "I will give you a tour of the home and then we can have some dinner. You and your sisters will be starting school in two weeks." I nod my head and allow him to guide me throughout his home. From what I remember of the tour this house has 7 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms, a very large kitchen, a movie theater, a library, and the whole basement is the gym. He also showed me his office which you have to know the code to the door to get into. While telling me about the house, I attempt to memorize the steps I need to get around.

We finish off in the kitchen where he makes me a cup of tea while I sit on a bar stool feeling the wooden counter under my hand. I hear the screeching of the stool next to me when he sits down. Soon enough, I hear my sisters giggling coming into the kitchen heading towards the freshly made tea. The each get a cup and sit down at a nearby table while continuing their conversation.

"You have done an incredible job taking care of you sisters Eva. They look very happy." I nod in acknowledgement of his comment. "Alright ladies! So I know you have had a long journey and are probably getting tired. I will have Maria call you when dinner is ready but until then you can do whatever you please. I have to return to some work, but I will meet you when dinner is ready." He stands up and begins to walk out of the kitchen when he turns around. "Eva, meet me in the gym tomorrow at 6 am to begin."

"Yes Uncle." I say while gently getting up from my seat. He leaves and my sisters run to me to tumble on me in a hug. I chuckle at them and pull them tight.

"Eva, this house is incredible! I love the library and I can't wait to read to you!" Leila says getting excited and bouncing. I shake my head smiling.

My sisters end up guiding me around once again before we arrive at my room. Cara leads me around the room and tells me where everything is at. I go to the closet to already feel my leather jacket hanging up on a hanger. I let my fingers trace over the material before returning to the room. I go and sit on my bed and feel my sisters joining me on the bed. They both lay their heads on my shoulders and hold my hands.

"This will be a new adventure for us... Just don't lose your temper." Cara says turning her head to me while Leila giggles. I sigh before laying back on the bed. Both of my sisters leave the room while I continue to lay there when my eyes begin to finally close. For the first time in a long time, I allow myself to sleep.
