"Ollie can we come home together today?" I asked Oliver as I'm sitting on the passenger seat of his pick up truck;

We're on our way to University, our dorms are close to each other and we're picking up Greta.

Greta and I are room mates but last night she didn't go home because they have an Art Exhibit they need to finish so she stayed with her group mates in their dorm.

This has been our daily routine ever since Ollie got this new pick up truck as a Birthday present from his dad 3 years ago, he never failed to pick us up for University whenever our schedules line up with each other, carpooling with Ollie has made my life easier to be honest and I get to spend some alone time with him sometimes.

"Sure, what's wrong do you need to be dropped off somewhere?" He asked, driving with one hand.

I nodded, "Just by the hospital, I need to pick something up." I added.

"Are you sic-"

"Morning, people!" Greta was so cheery this early in the morning.

"Hi!" I smiled back as I look at the backseat seeing her trying to settle in with her back pack.

"Hey, Greta!" Oliver responded as he starts to drive again.

"When's your next big game, bro?" Greta asked.

"Hmm, I guess in two weeks!" He answers,

"I'm pretty excited, since the university's ace graduated last year I want to fill up his spot, so y'all have to wish me luck by watching our game!"

"We wouldn't miss it!" I smiled back.

We arrived University and as soon as Oliver parked his truck he has been snatched away by his soccer team mates and some girls from the cheering squad.

"I can never get use to him being popular." Greta whispered to me.

"Well, me too since he was always shy and awkward to begin with." I agreed.

I can never get used to him being this popular, we don't hang out in College like we used to because he has been part of a different crowd now but it can't be helped since he's still a good friend of ours and he has always been there to hang out, he wasn't brushing us off or ignoring us either so I guess as long as he's happy. The classes ended after the last bell rang. I was on my way to the locker when I bumped into someone.

"Oops, sorry!"

"No, it was my fault I wasn't looking" I brushed my hair to the side and looked up as I picked up the books I was holding, it was Felicity and she was wearing her cheer squad uniform.

"Here, let me help!" She smiled as she bent down and picked up some of the papers that fell from my Calculus book;

"Hey, aren't you Oliver's childhood friend? I always see you with him during the mornings, I guess you guys carpool! What was your name again?"

"Ramona."

"Ramona? Ah! he calls you Mona, right?" I nodded.

"I see, well nice to meet you, Mona! Is it okay for me to call you that too?"

"I guess, it doesn't bother me so it's okay."

"Hey, Felicity! Hurry up!" A guy wearing a soccer jersey called out to her from the hallway.

"Oh, got to go now! It was nice meeting you, Mona!" She smiled cheerfully as she grab one of my hands and started shaking it.

"Uhmm, same.." She ran towards the hallway and suddenly Oliver showed up to meet up with them and as soon as he sees her his face lit up, it was obvious that Felicity was Ollie's type and I couldn't blame him. She was really pretty, nice and smart. An all-in-one package!

My chest started to hurt again and I knew what was about to happen.

This isn't the first time I felt it, it became a familiar feeling.

I ran to the bathroom, my hand covering my mouth although it couldn't be of much help.

I coughed up blood and forget-me-not petals again and every single time the pain gets worst and the amount of blood and petals I cough up becomes more than when this all started.

I'm scared.

I cried silently as I cough up the last of the petals.

After a little while of waiting for my chest pain to go away and for my breathing to be more relaxed, I received a text.

Ollie: Sorry, Mona. I'm stuck at soccer practice, I won't be able to leave till later since coach wants us to practice longer cos the game is in two weeks. I hope you understand, I'll see you tomorrow morning tho!

I sighed, it's not his responsibility to take me to and fro University he just does it cos he's a good friend, I can't hold this against him, it can't be helped.

I picked myself up and walked to the sink, its been an everyday routine now ever since I got diagnosed with the Hanahaki Disease.

I came prepared now with a tooth brush and a toothpaste, after I finished rinsing, I went out of the girl's bathroom and noticed that the halls are already empty.

I wonder where Greta is? She's probably in the Art room since I remember her telling me to not wait up on her anymore.

I took one last trip to my locker and headed out. My head start to spin as soon as I stepped out of the main entrance. I can see in the parking lot, two people holding hands and laughing together.

It was Oliver and Felicity.

They were on their way to Ollie's truck, both are wearing their casual clothes.

They drove their way after Ollie backed up his truck.

My chest started to hurt again this time it was intense, it never hurt this way before, it felt like my heart was about to burst and I couldn't breathe.

I'm so tired of unrequited love.
