7- Who am I to u

One whole week have passed. After the bench incident, Evy ignored Eddy completely. He had caught her few times looking at him, but before his eyes meet hers directly, she used to either turn her face or start rolling her eyes.

She didn't speak a single word to him. Last week all the lectures of Mrs Natalia were cancelled as she had the flu. So, in that period, she either used to hang out with Hailey and Max or she would keep up with her studies in the library.

The library and Evy cannot be apart forever. She loves reading books. She is not your typical nerd who likes to keep her nose in the books. She just wants to get good grades and become something in life. She is your normal teenage girl, but the difference is that she is more focused than others.

Evy silence was killing Eddy. He still remembers her words 'I'll never be able to forgive you'

That means she wants to, but she can't. Why can't she forgive him like before? He has to talk to her to make things clear between them.

It's been a week since Evy has talked to Eddy. It was hurting her. She really wants to go and hug him. She wants to talk to him about anything and everything. But for some reason she cannot forget what he did to her. He made her life living hell in this school despite of being her best friend. She is not going to forgive him that easily.

She was going to her next class when suddenly someone pulled her in the janitor closet.

"Ouch! What the hell? Who is it?" She shouted at the stranger who dared to pull her hair.

"It's me Evy" a familiar voice answered.

"What do you want Eddy? I mean Edward?" She stumbled with her words. She can't believe it; she used his nickname in front of him.

"It won't kill you to call me Eddy, Evy?" he said in a low voice which had a tint of sadness in it.

"But it will definitely give you a wrong impression of being friends again." she said with a bitchy attitude.

"What's wrong with being friends with me?"

"I don't think it's your business to know that." she glared at him.

"As your best friend, yes I think it's my business to know everything about you."

"Correction Mr Edward Loraine. EX BEST FRIEND. So, I don't think I need to tell anything to you"

"Why Evy? Why? Why the hell can't we be friends like before?"

"Friends. Do you even know a true meaning of it? Yes, we were great friends in the start, but not now. You changed the meaning of our bond Ed. Friends trust each other, but I don't trust you. I don't."

She was about to leave when Eddy grabbed her wrist.

"What is it now Ed?" Evy asked with pure irritation in her voice.

"What I am to you then?" he asked with a hurt look.

"Nothing. You are nothing to me. You only an arrogant, self-centred jerk who used to be my best friend. That's it. Full stop." with that she left the janitor closet.

Evy closed the door and wiped the unshed tears from her eyes. It did hurt her a bit but she was a strong girl now. She still can't believe she said that to him but he had it coming. She is done with people walking over her. How much ever she wants to, she would never be able to forgive him. Never.
