Chapter 2

AND AFTER almost ten years, he's back to his home. And Treyson can't be more ecstatic. He was driving alone for the reason that he wanted to surprise his family.

The place has changed a lot. From the almost empty lands, now have small villas. But the things is, the lands that has shades of trees didn't changed at all. And that put a smile on his lips.

And as the car cruise near his destination, Treyson can't help but feel happy and warm. The usual feeling that his home gives. But his home has a lot more to offer than happiness and warmth. His home also offers sincerity, serenity and love.

And when Treyson parked his car few meters away from their open front yard, he took his time staring at the two-story, Spanish style house with a large porch in front of him. From the entrance gate is a pathway to the large porch.

The house doesn't changed at all. It still look high and mighty. As if it won't be destructed by anything. The low fence around it was painted green, preventing the flowering plants to go out of the premises. Different colors of flowers are rioting, as if painted on the green canvass chaotically.

Upon stepping out, the main door of the huge house swung open. And he was greeted by a beautiful woman carrying a lovely little girl. He fixed his eyeglasses and stare at the two.

Hannah Genesis and Coraline, Quade's wife and daughter. The two were smiling happily when Hannah look straight ahead and saw him.

The shock on her face is an understatement which made him chuckle. And with long strides, he close the gap between them.

"Well, hello, Mrs. Quade Quintana." Treyson greeted with a hint of amusement in his eyes. Hannah had to blink for a few times and cleared her throat.

"Hi! What a pleasant surprise!" Hannah said laughing afterwards.

"Oh, well I saw you are shocked rather than surprised." Treyson retorted playfully.

"Same difference." Hannah chuckled. "Say hi to uncle Treyson, baby."

The little girl just wave her small hand shyly at him. Treyson the gently pinched the latter's cheeks.

"Let's get in. You might be tired from the long drive." Hannah offered and walk in with him.

Treyson encircled his hand on Hannah's shoulder, startling her. But relaxed after a few moments.

"Your brother might detach you hand from your shoulder if you don't take that away from mine." Hannah warned. Treyson just shrugged off.

And when they entered the house, from the foyer, the people on the large room glance at them. And as expected, shock is written on their faces.

And it's their Mom who first broke a smile and took a stride towards them. But before his Mom reach him, Quade's voice reached him dangerously.

"Hands off my wife, Treyson Aegir." Quade said in dangerously low voice.

Treyson raised his hands in mock surrender and went to hug his Mom instead.

"Welcome home, mi hijo." My son. His Mom said lovingly. When she hold her at arms length, she has tears in her eyes.

"Mom, I'm here. Don't cry." He said smiling. But can't deny the fact that he was moved by his Mother's affection. "I missed you."

"Whose fault is that? You hardly even called us in ten years." Yvonne butted in with sharp voice but has a sweet smile as she walk towards them. "We missed you too, hermano."

Treyson didn't let go of his Mom but managed to kiss his little sister' forehead. And everyone on the large room greeted him. And when it's Quade's turn, he got a playful punch from him.

"That's for touching my wife, asshole." Quade said glaring at him, but earned a hiss from their Mom. "Welcome home."

"Yeah. Thank you." Treyson playfully responded. "So, what's going on that you seem to be in a logistics meeting?"

"We're just talking about you, son. But here you are, in flesh." His Father who spoke for the first time. "Come sit with us."

And they all settled down at that, except for him who stand beside where their parents are seated.

Treyson's eyes roamed around the large room, looking for someone. When his sight fall on Duke, he send him a questioning look. The latter shrugged his shoulders.

For the past years, his mind is always filled with the images of that little girl. Even if he's seeing her through the screen of his laptop or his phone, he always wanted to see her in flesh.

The little girl will always smile at him on video calls and will say short greetings. But aside from that, nothing. Treyson will just brush off those acts from her, assuming that she's, maybe still shy towards him. Or maybe she's just being quiet and reserved. She didn't even bother telling him her name. And when he asks anyone in his household, they all answer him the same thing.

"Ask her yourself."

Treyson rolled his eyes on the memory. Either way, Treyson wanted to see the girl and see if she can remember what she did to him years ago. A simple act that's keeping him confuse every time his mind will fall into thinking about that simple kiss. Add the things she told her, his pile of confusions just got higher.

Ah, now, my eyes crave for her.

Treyson shook his head to lose the thought. And when he paid attention to everyone who's discussing something, he had a hard time grasping at the topic. He will just nod his head from time to time and will answer if only needed.

"So, you're staying here for good?" Quade asked out of the blue.

"What? You want me out again?" Treyson playfully retorted.

"That's not what I mean, you asshole." The eldest glared.

"Watch your mouth, Quade Triton." Their Mom snapped at them.

"Sorry Mom." The eldest grimaced, making him chuckle. They're all high and mighty in their own way. But when it comes to the Queen of their household, they all need to bow down.

"What's so funny, Treyson?"

"Nothing, Mom." Treyson answered almost abruptly.

"I thought so." Their Mom has this sweet smile but a venomous glint in her eyes. "You'll stay here for good, yes?"

"Yes, Mom. That's the plan." Treyson answered politely.

"Plan?"

"Yes, Mom."

"And if the plan change?"

The air became tensed around them when their Mom's tone raised a bit. No one dare to utter a word but him.

"If anything can change it." Treyson shrugged, but still polite.

"I know you, Treyson. One minute you're here, and then at the other place the next. That's how fast you change your mind." His Mom said as a matter of fact.

"Mom the Treyson you're pertaining to is the one almost ten years ago. I've changed." Treyson pouted at his Mom.

"Really?" His Mom retorted, challenging him. "We'll have to see about that."

Treyson was about to let out another remark when their Father speak.

"Anyways, why don't you fetch your little girl at the restaurant? She has a class in two hours."

Treyson froze at what he heard.

Your little girl.

And the fluttering of his stomach from years ago came to him. Is his Father even aware of what he said?

"Yeah. She should be here by now getting ready." Yvonne agreed. "Come on, hermano. Let's get her."

Treyson looked dazed for a couple of seconds but managed to nod his head. He didn't even know how the things inside their house ho. The next thing he knew is him, inside his car driving, with his sister beside him.

"Why aren't you even telling me her name?" Treyson queried.

"She told us her name after you got out of this place. Not literally though, she wrote it on the sand and from that day on, we knew what to call her." Yvonne answered as if looking at the old scene in front of her.

"She speak up after I left?" Treyson can't believe it.

"Yep. And Quade said if you leaving was the way to make her talk, he should just kick you out of this place sooner." Yvonne said chuckling. "But that was beside the point now."

"Guess so. But still..." Treyson trailed off when he was about to say isn't something he wanted out in the open. "Can you tell me her name now?"

"Ask her yourself." Yvonne has this wide, teasing smile. And Treyson just shook his head in surrender.

It took them almost thirty minutes to reach their destination with Yvonne's guide. And she was the first one to step out of the car.

The restaurant was an open-air, with a large signage above the door, almost reaching the roof saying 'Raia.' He was about to ask his sister when he heard her calling him.

"What the hell are you standing there, come in!" Yvonne yelled impatiently. She's even waving her hand for him to get in.

Shaking his head, Treyson sauntered towards the entrance with his hands deep inside his pocket. The restaurant isn't full, but will still make you busy. And half of the population inside is of the opposite sex.

All eyes were on him when he step foot inside the restaurant. It's not new for him to get these lot of attention. And he's quite used to it for in the world he lives in, he had to carry himself in a nice way.

But not in here.

Yes. Because his home is a place where he can be himself. And no one will give a fuck about it.

RAIA WAS busy on the counter when her attention was diverted to the pair who just entered the restaurant. She knew the girl waltzing towards her. But not the man behind her.

Standing over six feet, lean built, well toned body and an Adonis-like face, all eyes were on him. Well, he's an embodiment of a Greek god. Plus the eyeglasses, he looks nerdy.

A handsome, hot nerd at that.

Raia pinched the bridge of her nose and went out of the counter to meet Yvonne halfway. The Quintana's Princess, as she calls her.

"Hi!" Yvonne greeted sweetly. "You lost track of time again, didn't you?"

Raia glanced at he wristwatch.

"Oh, shoot. I'm sorry." She said guilty. Yvonne messed her hair and chuckled at her.

"You're always so hardworking. Come, you have a visitor." Yvonne has this wide, happy smile which made her baffled.

And when Yvonne moved out of her sight, the Greek god welcomed her with a smile.

Raia look at Yvonne, her eyes held so much questions. The latter laughed softly at her.

"That's what you get when you don't even wanna look at him on the phone." Yvonne sounds reprimanding, but is leisurely laughing at her. "That's Treyson Aegir for you, the Norse God of the Sea."

And the air around her vanished, just like that. Her lips parted, breathing hitched.

So the Greek god she's admiring was the lonely man she's looking at years ago. The one she called handsome, hot nerd was the fifth Prince of the Quintana household.

"Hey, little girl." Treyson said with his oh, so manly and sexy voice.

Raia gulped the lump on her throat and compose herself. And finally, she gave him a small smile.

Treyson's lips broke into a wide smile. And without warning, he closed the distance between them and planted a soft kiss on his left cheek.

When his lips grazed her cheek, all her insides went frenzy. With just a simple touching of his lips and her cheek, a havoc in her system has errupted.

"It's Raia." She managed to say when Treyson pulled away.

"Raia." Treyson said with a smile. The way he said her name has a familiar ring to it. "Finally!"

Raia stared at him for a whole minute, fascinated by his reaction. And when she pulled herself together, she shook her head and cleared her throat.

"Now, now. You should head home now. Your class is in two hours. You'll be late if you stand here for the next minute." There's a hint of pushing them away, but in a polite manner. "I'll take it from here."'

Raia didn't say anything but her eyes trailed on the man in front of her. Treyson just shrugged and took a step back to move out of her way.

"After you." Treyson said with a hint of amusement. Raia nearly roll her eyes at him if not for Yvonne who's watching them.

"I'll be here after my class." Raia informed her.

"I know." Yvonne wave her hand. "But take your time and take a rest. you need that. Take care you two." She even winked at her. And she rolled her eyes making her laugh.

When she started to waltz out of the restaurant, Raia felt the presence behind her. She didn't bother to look back at him. And when they reach the car, Treyson opened the door for her.

Raia abruptly turn towards him. And to her surprise, their body is in close proximity, making Raia's breathing mishap.

"Too close." She said innocently. Treyson chuckled at her in response, looking down on her. His right hand on the door and the other on the doorway of the car trapping her.

"You haven't greeted me properly." Treyson pouted, as if sulking.

Without second thought, Raia leaned towards him, tip toed and press her lips against his.

"Welcome home, Norse God of the Sea." She softly said when she pulled away after a couple of seconds and settled in the car, leaving the Norse God of the Sea flabbergasted.
