Chapter 8

She was looking straight on me.

Her eyes were screaming power to extent that it makes my knees tremble... in fear.

I wanted to look away.

But I couldn't. it's as if her eyes were drawing mine, not wanting me to look away.

"Savina," I blinked twice then I turned to Yohan when I heard him say the same name awhile ago. His teeth were gritted.

He is... fuming mad.

The two of them were emitting auras that could thaw me anytime. I suddenly gripped on the hem of Shawn's shirt from behind. I feel scared. Scared of what the two could do...

"Shh, you're safe with us..." Shawn mumbled softly then he tilted his head to glance back at me, he smiled at me. An assuring smile that calms my system down.

I nodded at him then I turned on Yohan again when he spoke.

"What the fuck are you doing here?" he asked in his hard accent. His voice were way different from the usual voice he uses when talking with us. He sounded cold and mad.

Savina let out a laugh.

She's weirding me out but at the same time, she's scaring me even more.

Finally, she came to halt. "Chill, my dear ex-boyfriend!" she said with amusement on her eyes then she walked towards us.

Ex-boyfriend?

Is she the one who Yohan dated once before?

I don't know but looking at her for a long time makes me belittle myself. Well, who wouldn't? She has a long black silky hair and her complexion is nice. She also has a great features that compliments her sharp eyes, making her look sophisticated and intimidating.

Damn. I wish I'm pretty as her.

She stopped a few meters away from us, "Have you forgotten already that I'm studying here as well?" she said then she glanced at me with a smirk forming on her lips before looking back at Yohan. "I'll see you around, my love..." she said with a sweet voice, winking on him before she walked pass us.

I don't know if I saw it right, but Savina whispered something on Yohan that made him clenched his jaw and suddenly, his aura darkened than before.

I heaved a long sigh in relief when the bell rang. Meaning, the lunch break is over and that we must go back on our rooms.

"Let's go," said Shawn then I just nodded my head. I was just following them from behind like a lost puppy while still holding the hem of his shirt.

I don't want to let go.

I'm afraid that I might feel being watched again.

I noticed Yohan slowed down his pace to match mine. He's now walking beside me.

"Are you fine?" he asked in a low tone without looking at me.

"Yeah..." I whispered softly, enough for him to hear.

He didn't left my side until we reached our classroom.

The exam on Algebra started and I couldn't help but to get distracted on what happened earlier on the corridor.

It seems like Shawn noticed that I'm idling in the middle of answering the test papers because he handed me a paper, telling our professor that I asked for a scratch paper.

I opened it then I saw a small text written by him:

"Don't mind it, just focus on the test. It's way easier than we expect."

I lifted my head to glance at him and he gave me a thumbs up.

Right, I don't have time to be distracted on such things like this. I must focus on our test since I have goals.

And my goal is to ace all of our exams.

I smiled at him before looking back on the paper that contains number and equations placed above my desk. He's right, the test is way easier than those we reviewed on the library last weekend.

I started solving the equations and it did not took me long enough before I finished answering. Is this the outcome of our study session? Probably, yes.

"Wooh! Finally!" Mitsume said, running towards our bedroom then she threw herself on her bed placed across mine. We went back home together after the exams.

"Clean yourself first!" I hissed while taking off my shoes, placing it on the rack near the doorway before going straight to the kitchen. It's now my turn to cook and I'm going to create a Katsudon— a popular Japanese food, a bowl of rice topped with a deep-fried pork cutlet, egg, vegetables, and condiments. I'll be cooking it along with a miso soup since the weather is getting colder as the winter is about to come and a bowl of miso soup is perfect for this season.

"Hm, it smells good! You're improving!" Mitsume complimented with a thumbs up as she went out of the bathroom, she just finished taking a quick shower before she headed straight to our bedroom.

I smiled at her, "Arigatou." I thanked her, slightly bowing my head on her side before looking back on the pan where I'm frying the tonkatsu, a Japanese term for deep-fried pork cutlet.

"Ichika-san!"

I turned to her when she hurriedly went out from our room holding her phone, her eyes were widened. "Why?" I asked then I looked back on the pan, placing the tonkatsu on a plate with kitchen towel to absorb the oil before placing it on the top of the egg I scrambled earlier that is placed on the top of the rice.

"How many did you prepared?" she asked while pacing back and fort.

"Why are you so nervous? I cooked more than the usual since I know you're going to eat more." I answered while checking the pot where I'm cooking the miso soup. "Why?"

"They're coming over!" she stopped for awhile to answer me then she paced back and fort again. I looked away, I'm getting dizzy on her actions.

"Who?" I turned off the stove then I started placing the meals I cooked on the table.

"Shawn and Yohan—"

She was cut off when someone rang the doorbell.

What the heck?
