"So now that I've payed you a visit, when are you coming to my house?" I said to najah. "Don't worry basmatu I promise I'll come visit soon."

"What did I tell you about calling me that name," I said glaring at her. "Hey sorry was just joking," she said grinning.

I bid her goodbye and left. I was strolling home when I noticed someone. A guy. He had the kind of face that stopped you in your tracks. I guess he must get used to that, the sudden pause in a person's natural expression when they looked his way followed by overcompensating with a nonchalant gaze and a weak smile. Of course the blush that accompanied it was a dead give-away. It didn't help that he was so modest with it, it made the girls fall for him all the more. Despite all the opportunity that came his way he was a one-woman-man who prized genuineness and thoughtful conversation above lipstick and high-heels. He was handsome alright.

Who is he? I wondered. I took a sharp breath, walking away. He didn't notice me.

"Adda basma why are you smiling?" Bidayya asked, smirking.

"Smiling? Oh I didn't even know I was smiling." I chuckled. I'm in a good mood today.

"Wow!" She rolled her eyes and fixed her gaze on her phone.

I went upstairs to my room, thinking. Who is he? I've never seen him in our area before. He might be here to see someone.

He's the one! I sound crazy but I feel like he's the one. The one I've been wanting. The one I've been waiting for. I want to know him. How?

Knock knock

"Urgh, who is it?"

"It's me, badiyya." She peeped from the door. "What is it?" I asked. "You have a visitor," she announced.

"Who is it?" I asked. And she replied, "Yes it's Farida."

"Why is she acting like a stranger?" Tell her to come up to my room."

Xx

"If I tell you this and you laugh, I'll kill you and I'm serious." I gave her a pointed look.

She laughed before I even started talking. She's the carefree type. She jokes a lot. It's sometimes irritating. Like now.

"Hey I just said I'd kill you if you laugh."

"Okay! okay! I'm sorry, Tell me."

I took a deep breath. I know she'll laugh. "I saw someone and I like him."

She laughed out loud just like I expected she would act. I rolled my eyes, "What's funny?"

"Oh... My.. Gawd! You... Basma... You like someone!"

"Hey please be serious on this." I cut her off. The laughing series dialed down. "Okay I'm done laughing. I'm sorry."

"So who's the guy?" She asked her face glowing up.

"Uhmm... Well... You see... It's kinda..." She cuts me off, "Basma, tell me already!"

"I don't know him." I chuckled nervously. "I don't understand by you don't know him!"

"I was passing by and then I saw him, he was so handsome and I can't just walk up to him. So.. I... I just walked away."

"Really?" She raised a brow up. She groaned. "But why didn't you talk to him?" I laughed dryly. "You don't expect me to talk to him. I can't do that. And what if I end up getting disgraced? I can't tolerate that!"

"Oh, oh, look who's talking about embarrassing someone. You've done that to countless people."

"That's not the point Farida.” I sighed. “Okay! So how does he even look. I might even know the guy.” She asked. "Oh my god he's so handsome, very tall, the way he was smiling melted my heart, he's so cute and did I mention how handsome he is.

She giggled, "The girl is really in love.” I sighed dreamily, “no doubts I am.

"Where did you see him anyway?"

"Just few steps away from your house.

"Oh so he's even close. Okay here's the thing, I'll help you look for your Love.” I grinned. “You’re the best.

"Yes I know." She flipped her invisible hair. "Just tell me how he looks like. I’m thinking it might be someone I’m expecting.

"Uhmm well he's tall, fair in complexion, he as a cute sorta birth mark behind his neck, he has light brown eyes, full beard. It’s like he has one dimple."

"Wait you said he has birth mark right?" She observed. “Yes just behind his neck." I nodded. "Is it by in the middle or is it right or left?"

"Left side," I replied. I can remember exactly where he had that birth mark. “Wait!” She searched through her phone. “You know him?

"I said wait.” She said, sorting through her gallery.

Few minutes later. "Is he the one?" She said showing me a picture of a guy. “He... I swear... he’s the one. Farida it’s him. He was the one I saw!

“Abdulrahman.
