Chapter 4

THIRD PERSON POV

"Allesandra Larove..."

Alle turned to see someone she really didn’t want to see. "Veronica.." She simply said and turned her body back and tried to ignore her.

Veronica smirked and walked towards Alle. "Don't you miss me, Alle?"

Alle threw up her hands. "No. I certainly don't miss someone who actually tried to put drugs in my drink."

Veronica laughed. "It was only a joke, dear. And I did apologise. Come on. We used to be best friends."

"Exactly. Used. Now, go away." Alle said and waved her goodbye.

"You will regret this Alle."

Alle turned to meet her. "The only thing I regret is meeting you." She said and stood up. She walked out of the cafe and to the office building. She thought she can have a nice lunch alone with no one disturbing her, but she was wrong.

"Back so soon?" Vanessa asked her boss.

"A nuisance decided to ruin it. Why are you still here? You can have your lunch now."

"I already did."

"You did?"

Vanessa nodded.

"Okay then. Can you get the files my Mother sent? She mentioned something about a school project and charity event."

Vanessa checked her desk. "Yes. Here it is."

"Come inside." Alle said and walked in her office room followed by Vanessa.

Vanessa put the files in front of her boss and stood next to her.

"You know you can sit right."

Vanessa smiled and sat.

Alle opened the files and looked through every detail. Every word. Every page. She noticed Vanessa sighed heavily. "Are you okay?"

Vanessa nodded.

Alle looked at her assistant. "You sure?"

Vanessa offered her a smile, but Alle didn’t buy it.

Alle noticed Vanessa was always touching her stomach. She smiled. "How far are you?"

Vanessa was too surprised by the question. How did she know? That’d been playing in her mind. “Twelve weeks."

Alle smiled. "Does your fiancée know?" Now, she noticed Vanessa's demeanour change.

"He left me for another woman."

Alle's eyes widened. "He did? Why?"

"I don't know. He just left one day after I told him. He didn't even respond much when I told him. The next day he just left."

Alle put down her fountain pen and looked at Vanessa. "He's a jerk. You will find someone better to be your partner and Father for the baby.

Vanessa smiled. "I did actually, and he's actually a she. We met at my sister’s little Christmas gathering."

"That's good. She's great?"

"She is. Amazing actually."

Alle smiled. "Good. Now. I will sign everything. You just have to include it in my schedule." I signed and handed her the files. "Also, Vanessa, If a person named Hazel comes, let her in. But I’m pretty sure she will be coming with Abigail."

Vanessa nodded. "Will do, miss." She stand up and walked out of the room.

Alle continued to do her work and waited for her Niece to come. She didn’t know what she wanted from her. Usually if she wanted to see her aunt, she wanted something. Like tickets, or meeting someone famous. Alle was friends with various types of famous people, and Abigail usually used that as an advantage to meet them.

"Miss... your Niece is here."

Alle pressed the button on the phone. "Let her in."

Vanessa opened the door and let Abigail, Melanie and Hazel walk in.

Hazel gasped when she noticed Alle in a perfectly tailored suit rather than just jeans.

"Pick up your vagina. It fell on the floor." Abby whispered, and Hazel smack her playfully.

Abby and Mel laughed at her reaction.

"Hey girls. Have a seat.” Alle said. "What can I do for you?" She asked as they seated.

"Ummmmm..." Abby started.

Alle leaned in, waiting for her Niece to say something.

"Ummmm..." Abby sighed.

"Use words, Abby." Alle said and smiled.

"I need help. I mean. We need help."

"Okay. Tell me."

Abby took a deep breath. "We want you to be at our school game. Mel and Hazel are playing against St. Peter’s, and we need your... Friends’ help."

Alle raised her eyebrows. "Which friends?"

"Your friends from high school. That four girls."

Alle chuckled. "The four wonders?"

Abby nodded.

"Why?"

Mel cleared her throat. "Well I accidentally said I know them, which is half true, because we know you." She explained to Alle.

The four wonders were the most popular girls in school. They controlled. They lead. They even succeeded to make everyone worship them. They were Alle's best friends in high school and also the people who introduced Kylie to her.

"I can make that happen. Anything else?"

Abby sheepishly smiled. "I also need you to tell Mom about my car."

"What happen to your car?"

Abby nervously laughed. "Funny thing happened, haha... Well, I... Um... Remember that senator’s Son?"

Alle nodded.

"He used his dad's money to... Um... To..."

Melanie stopped her Girlfriend from talking. "He hired someone to destroy it while we were in class."

Alle raised her eyebrows. "How do you know it was him?"

"We heard the guys’ Soccer team laugh about it when we walked towards the girls’ locker."

Alle felt her blood boil. "I'll handle him. Anything else?"

Abby smiled. "Food money. We're hungry."

Alle chuckled. She reached for her wallet and gave her Niece a generous amount of money. "Go and eat. Wait. Don't you have school? Did Grandma see your car?"

Abby nodded. "She did. She said she will investigate. You know her. She will tell Granddaddy."

Alle nodded. She knew her mother's well, and If Carmen knew, hell would break loose. "How did you get here?"

"Taxi."

"Mel?

"Abby picked us up this morning."

Alle nodded and reached for her car key. "Here. Use this car. I'll use the Monster later."

Abby took the key. "Which car is this?"

"The Hummer."

Hazel looked confused. "What do you mean you’ll use the Monster? What is that? A dinosaur?"

Abby chuckled. "The Monster is Aunt Alle’s 2016 Ducati Monster."

"It's a motorcycle." Mel finished.

Hazel nodded.

"Well. I'm going. Thanks Aunt Alle." Abby stood and walked to her aunt to hug her.

"See you at home, princess. But I may be late tho."

"Okay. Love yah." Abby said and followed Melanie and Hazel outside.

Alle smiled when she made eye contact with Hazel.

Hazel waved a little and Alle did the same...

ALLE'S POV

I smiled at the woman behind the desk. "May I meet Miss Adara?"

She looked up. "Do you have an appointment?"

"No but she's expecting me."

"Name please?"

"Allesandra Larove."

Her eyes widened. "Miss Larove. Yes, Miss Adara expecting you. I'm sorry."

I smiled and followed her to a double door.

A faint come in could be heard from behind the door.

I walked in when she opened the door, and instantly, that familiar scent invaded my nostrils.

"Alle."

I smiled. "Stella." I walked towards her and hugged her.

"Such a long time, Alle. How are you?"

"I'm great Stel."

Stella pulled away and chuckled. "I was surprised you called me."

I looked at this beautiful red haired woman in front of me and smiled. "Well, I need your help."

She crossed her hands and smirked. "Help? Ok. What do you need?"

I smiled. "My Niece needs your help. Also the other three girls."

Stella laughed. "Reliving our high school days, huh?"

I nodded. "Where are the others?"

Stella thought for a second. "Well. Jamie is here. So is Lisa and Anastasia."

"Perfect. So will you help me?"

Stella chuckled. "Of course, Alle. How about this. I call the girls. And we can have a nice dinner together. Just like old times?"

"I like that. Sure. I'm in." I smiled.

Stella reached for her phone. "I'll call them now."

I nodded and sat on the couch. I looked around her office and smiled. I never thought she would make it to this level. She was always the slacker. "Nice office you have."

Stella chuckled. "I bet you’re wondering how I got to this level, huh?"

Wow, she was good... Well she was an Adara.

"Honestly, I don't think I c either. But words of encouragement from my family and friends made me who I am now."

I smiled. "Good for you, Stel. How's Nathan?"

Stella scoffed. "I don't know. Dead probably."

"Wait! You're not dating him anymore?"

She shook her head. "He married my Sister. He knocked her up. While dating me."

My eyes widened. "Wait. Your Sister is just eighteen years old now right?"

She nodded.

"I'm sorry. I didn't know."

She waved it off. "I should never have trusted him anyway. Anyway. I'm thinking of searching for a female companion. Guys sickening me."

I snickered. "I thought you had a crush on Lisa."

"She's married to Jamie."

Again, my eyes widened. "Why did nobody tell me?!"

Stella shrugged.

"Wow. They both married each other? I can't believe this. They have kids?"

Stella shook her head. "They both busy with their businesses. They have sugar babies.

I raised my eyebrows. "I never thought they both were like that." I giggled.

"Me neither! Lisa was always the Saint one."

We both laughed.

"How about Anastasia?"

Stella smiled. "Single and available. Her recent breakup seriously made her hate dating. He used her for fame. And now, he's a world class model."

"She always was so easy to trust guys."

Stella nodded. She looked at the time. "Let's go."

I stood up and followed her. It was 7P.M., and everybody was just about to go home. "Where are we going?"

"Remember that little pizza place we always went to after school?

I nodded.

"We’re meeting everyone there."

"Ok. Meet yah there." I said and walked towards my bike. I put on my leather jacket and my red shiny helmet. I put my keys into the key hole and turned them to rev the engine. The roar of the Ducati filled the area, and I smiled at its power. I turned the gears and rode towards the pizza place that held a lot of my high school memories. I stopped in front of the familiar food place. I smiled as I noticed a very familiar brunette standing beside her car. I took off my helmet, and instantly, she noticed me.

"ALLE!"

I smiled as she ran towards me in heels. "Anastasia!" I laughed when she hugged me like she always did when we were still in school. She was always so clingy.

"Well, that's a sight." A voice behind us said.

I turned to see Jamie and Lisa.

"Well hello bitches." I laughed as Stella appeared out of nowhere.

I got off my bike and smiled. "I will only ask this once. Group hug?" I asked, and they instantly hug me. I always missed this. They all were like Sisters to me. I smiled.

Stella was the first to pull away. "Let's get in before these teenage boys have a boner from watching our tight dresses.

We all laughed.

I let the girls walk in first. Jamie stopped right before I wanted to walk in and tied her wavy black hair into a ponytail. Lisa walked up next to her and fixed her hair as well.

"What are you two doing?"

"Who knows if there will be a girl who wants to be our sugar baby."

"So you just tie your hair?"

Jamie smiled. "We're showing our diamond necklace. It's what we do."

They both walked in the pizza place and searched for Stella and Anastasia. Anastasia waved for us, and we walked towards her.

"I already ordered for us." Stella said without looking up from her phone.

"Stella, stop using your phone." Anastasia was being the Mother like always.

Stella stopped and put away her phone.

"So why are we all here, Alle?" Jamie asked me.

"I need help." I smiled.

"What kind of help?" Lisa asked me while fixing her Long brown hair. Seriously, she was already a model. What other kind of exposure did she need?

"Make an appearance at my Niece’s school for the Soccer game."

Anastasia looked at me. "This is a dare, huh?"

I nodded.

"And she wants to win?"

I nodded again.

They all looked at each other and smiled.

"We're in!"

"Great. I'll text my Niece." I said and reached for my phone to text Abby.

We continued to eat and talk about what was happening in our lives for hours...

HAZEL'S POV

I lay down on my bed and looked at the ceiling. Why did I feel jealous when I saw the girls hugging Alle in front of the pizza shop? We were not even dating. I didn’t even think she felt the same way I did. She was probably busy with other rich girls she always met.

Those four girls earlier were so hot. Especially the red haired woman. She was sexy as hell! That short tight dress complimented every curve she had. Not to mention the brunette. She was a well-known model. Her dress was screaming sexiness, and she was pretty clingy to Alle. Nobody could skip her chest area. Those were huge! Compared to mine, they were a mountain! The brown haired woman was a model, and the black haired woman was a singer. Nobody could ignore them because they both were married and well-known. That was Jamie and Lisa Summers. To me, they looked familiar. But then, I probably saw them in a magazine.

They all knew Alle, and I knew they all had the hots for her as well. The way the blonde woman looked at her said it all. The brunette looked like she was ready to devour her any second when she hugged her. Again, I felt that little tug on my heart when I remembered the little hugging scene. Oh God, what was wrong with me?

I was startled by a vibration from my phone. It was a text from Abby. She said the popular girls agreed to come to the school game. I didn’t even know why she had to accept the guys’ dare. They were all just dickheads. But knowing Abby, she wouldn’t let anyone walk all over her. It was a legacy for her to succeed the school senior year. Her Grandmother was a cheerleader same as her Mother. Both captain and co-captain. She wanted to be like them.

Then, my mind wandered to the game next week. I was nervous. What if I messed up again? Last time I did, I costed the championship. I couldn’t play properly that time because of what happened to me the day before. Melanie understood my situation, but I blamed myself for it every day. But now that I know Alle will be watching me play, I was determined to be the best. She would see me play outstandingly.

I would wow her like she did to me when she saved me... Twice... I wanted to make her notice me. I never felt like this about any girl before. Why did I have to feel something towards my best friend’s aunt? I felt helpless around her. I felt protected. She had this vibe that she projected to make everyone feel safe.

Suddenly, I felt hungry. I got up from the bed and walked outside to the kitchen. I looked in the fridge and cabinet. Empty. I sighed. "I really should buy some groceries.

Suddenly, my front door bell rang. I lazily walked towards the door and opened it. Abby and Melanie smiled at me.

"We brought food." Abby said and lifted a plastic bag.

"How did you know I was hungry?"

Melanie chuckled.

"We have secret powers." Abby said and laughed.

"Come in. What did you guys buy?"

"We have Indian food." Melanie said.

"Yummy." I just drooled over the smell.

Abby laughed. "Here." She handed me a pack, and I eagerly opened it.

The smell was enough to make me want to finish it all.

As we were having our food, Abby cleared her throat. "So Haz... How's life?"

I looked at her confused. "What do you mean?"

"Exactly what I mean. How's life?"

"It's good. Why?"

Melanie smiled. "We found you a job."

I smiled widely. "Great. Where?"

"Local flower shop. It's one of my mommy's Friend’s shop. She's amazing."

I nodded. "Sure. I will do anything."

Abby smiled. "You have to start tomorrow. She needs help."

I nodded. "Will do."

We continued to eat our food.

"Thank you, Abby... Mel. I will pay you all back. The house... The job... Everything."

Mel chuckled. "You don't have to. It's either this house would be abandoned or you staying in it.

I smiled. Melanie always was this generous. I sighed.

"What's wrong, Haz?" Abby asked me.

"It's... I don't know..."

"Aunt Alle?"

I slowly nodded.

"Tell us. What's wrong?"

I took a deep breath. "Remember Courtney?"

They both nodded.

"The Younow Crush. Why?"

"You know how I fell in love with her? And I was about to tell her via snapchat about my feelings, but then, she texted me using Twitter and told me she loved this other younower named Kayla? And how I crushed and forgot my own feelings for her so she got a chance with this Kayla person?

They both nodded again.

"What if that happened between me and Alle?

Abby put down her fork. "First, totally different situation. Second, my aunt’s never mentioned any other girl before. Lastly, have confidence. And why are we talking about Courtney?

Mel nodded. "Yeah. She’s obviously happily in love with this Kayla person. That Kayla Skyped you for god’s sake saying she's together with this Courtney."

"Yeah well, my heart shattered when she told me that. I really loved Courtney. Even though she's in Scotland."

Abby chuckled. "Haz, it's going to be okay.

I offered them a small smile. I tried to contact Courtney again after i told her my feelings when she was with Kayla. She never responded. I was crushed even more. I knew I was not that beautiful. But I had feelings, too. She should tell me she couldn’t accept me or something. I talked to her first on younow, and now, she was happy with Kayla. I never said anything to her. But I already got the hint. When the three of us talked to each other via Younow, they always talked about the texts they had, and they always left me alone while they talked to each other. Courtney didn't know I was there watching her trying to gain her attention. But I failed. I knew I was not beautiful. I blamed myself for it. I felt ashamed of myself.

"Haz..."

I looked up, trying to control my tears. "Yes?"

"We're done. Should I throw away yours?"

I smiled and nodded.

Abby took the pack and I sat there. Smiling and nodding as if I were with them. But actually I was thinking about my Long lost crush... I was scared Alle would do the same to me like Courtney did...
