Chapter 7

THIRD PERSON POV (THIS IS WHAT HAPPEN TO HAZEL)

The score was three to three. Just as one of the opposing team players was running toward the goal, Hazel came out of nowhere and stole the ball. She turned and ran for the goal. She passed by everybody and scored the winning goal. The crowd went wild. Yelling, cheering and everyone ran on the field.

As the crowd calmed and began to clear, Alle, who had been there watching saw Leah, one of Hazel’s teammates, walk up to Hazel and begin to kiss her.

Hazel was caught off guard. She didn't say anything.

After the kiss, Leah leaned into Hazel's ear. "Hazel, I have been wanting to do that all year."

Hazel stood in shock.

Leah smiled and yelled. "I LOVE YOU, HAZEL!" Then, she ran off.

A very confused Hazel turned around and saw Alle standing there looking very disappointed. "Alle.." She said under her breath. She wanted to explain that she knew nothing about Leah's feelings for her and there was nothing going on between them. But Alle turned and walked away without even looking at Hazel.

Alle got to her bike. She was feeling jealous, angry and maybe a little bit hurt.

Abby walked to Hazel and felt a little confused. "What happened? You know my aunt saw everything, right? I thought you like her?"

Hazel didn’t know what to say. "Abby, Leah kissed me out of nowhere.

"We all heard the ‘I love you’ part, too."

Hazel’s eyes widened. She was too in shock. She didn't hear it screamed. "Oh no. Do you..."

Abby nodded.

"I'm screwed."

"You got that right."

Abby and Hazel were so engrossed in talking to each other that they didn't even notice the four legends walking up to them.

"Hazel, you're screwed." Stella started.

Anastasia who was beside her covered Stella’s mouth. "Don't be rude!" She said and smiled at Hazel. "Congratulations on the winning goal though."

Stella removed Anastasia's hand and sighed.

"Alle was ready to date again, and now, she was shown why she didn’t want to date after Kylie. Tell me. How can you fix this mess?"

Jamie and Lisa stepped up.

"We don't. You do. We may be her best friends, but we're not her love gurus.” Lisa said. She looked at Hazel from top to bottom. "Do you want to be a model? How old are you?"

"Lisa, this is not the time."

But Lisa ignored what Stella said and gave Hazel a card. "Call me."

Stella walked up to Hazel and looked at her. "Just to let you know, one of Alle's crushes is here in LA. If you want her, you need to work hard. Because that blonde beauty is one hell of a woman." She said, and Hazel was about to cry.

"Stella. Stop. She's about to cry." Anastasia walked up to Hazel and wrapped her arms around Hazel's shoulders. "Let me give you some advice from a person who has been friends with Alle for years. Yes, she's disappointed, but that doesn't mean you don't own her heart already."

Hazel looked up.

"I saw how she looked at you while you were playing. She's in love. I know her that well." Anastasia smiled. "But Stella is right. Nessa is back. And ‘she's one hell of a woman.’ Stella's words.” She chuckled. "But that doesn't mean you're not a beautiful lady yourself. Lisa is my model. We all can help you make Alle yours. Why don't you give me a call and I will change how you look from this... To that..." She pointed to Lisa who was lip locking with Jamie.

Hazel looked at the brown haired intimidating woman, and she saw how beautiful she looked. She looked at Anastasia with determination. "I'll do it. I want her."

"Determination. I like it!"

"YAY! Operation Get Allesandra is truly on the way!" Anastasia beamed.

Stella looked at Hazel. "We have a lot of work to do..."

ALLE'S POV

"Tell me... What's happening in your life right now?" Nessa asked while munching on her food. Classic Nessa.

"Well... I'm working for my Mom."

"Years in London and then working? You must have the most boring life ever."

I chuckled. "Nessa, my life is perfect."

She scoffed. "I know you, dear. You never have fun." She said and removed her hair from her face.

"Awww. You called me dear."

Nessa blushed and threw a little piece of her food at me.

"Don't start a fight when you know you can't win." I said, and she stopped.

We both laughed as we remembered the day we met. It all began when she threw a piece of choke at my face. Soon, a food fight happened, and we ended up on cleaning duty for a month.

"I don't remember why I threw it tho."

I chuckled. "I called you a bimbo."

Her face changed and she took a handful of the mashed potato’s and spread it on my face.

I gasped. "What the... I Guess I deserved that."

"You bet you did!" She said and tried to hold back her laugh.

By now, everyone in the cafe looked at me as if I were doing something inappropriate to her.

I called for the waitress to give me a clean cloth. She handed me one, and I began to wipe the mashed potato’s from my face.

Nessa stopped me. "Such a waste though..." I had no idea what she meant, but then, her actions explained everything. She leaned in and began to lick my cheek, my nose and even my Chin. She licked my face clean and then wiped the remaining mashed potatoes with the cloth.

I looked around and some of the people stared with their mouth hanging.

"Hmmmm... Delicious." Nessa said and smiled sheepishly.

Some of the guys with their dates were being smacked by their girlfriends because they kept staring at this blonde beauty in front of me.

"You just made that young boy have his first boner." I commented about the teenage boy in front of me.

Nessa chuckled. "Well, it's either me or porn."

We both laughed.

"I prefer you over porn though" I winked, and she laughed.

"Naughty like always."

I smiled. Well, not as naughty as when I was with Kylie.

"Alle, do you remember when you sang Mon Coeur Balance for me?"

I tried to remember. "Yeah, I remember. Why?"

"I like it. I don't even know what it means, but I like it."

I laughed. "Mon Coeur balance means my heart swings in French." I smiled at her. "Et même si la vie nous joue des tours, En attendant les beaux jours, Je rêve encore en silence..." I started to sing for her. "Et même si la vie nous joue des tours comme au rhythm d'un tambour, Doucement mon cœur balance..." I stopped and looked at her eyes.

Her soft black orbs told me she was happy. "I miss that voice of yours. You always sing for me in the weirdest languages ever. But this is my fav."

I laughed. (

For this part listen to Mon Coeur balance by Laura Rey and Clemence Saints-preux) [This is the chorus].

"Tell me the meaning of it."

I smiled. "And even if life plays tricks on us While waiting for the good days, I still dream in silence..."I smiled and took her hand. "And even if life plays tricks on us on the rhythm of drums, Slowly, my heart swings..." I kissed her hand and laughed. "That's what it means, my dear."

She abruptly pulled her hand from mine and pouted. "You always like to kill the mood."

I laughed harder. "I am proud of myself. That's for sure."

Nessa continued to eat.

"How did you come here?"

"Driver."

I took a sip of my tea and smiled. "I can send you home."

She finished her food and burped.

I laughed. "So... Ladylike..." I said between laughs.

"Shut up. And sure. I can call my driver to not pick me up."

I smiled. "Great. I'll wait for you to finish your drink." I said and leaned back.

Nessa smiled widely. After she finished her drink, she touched her stomach and sighed. "That's a good meal."

I chuckled. "Come on." I stood up and offered my hand to help her up.

She laughed and took my hand.

"I hope you’re okay with riding a bike though?"

Her face showed me that she was not happy about it.

I laughed and led her to my bike. "That."

She looked in the direction I pointed, and she gasped. "Bad hair day." She sighed.

"Oh, come on. It's not that bad." I chuckled and offered her the extra helmet.

Nessa took it and put it on. "Oh God this will be weird."

I chuckled and got on my bike. I offered my hand to help her get on. "Ready?" I asked her as she made herself comfortable.

"Nope."

I laughed and revved my bike up. "Well, Nessa, welcome to Los Angeles." I said and shot off the parking space to the road.

She yelped, and I laughed...

HAZEL'S POV

I didn’t know how I could face Alle. She saw Leah kiss me. And not only that, she confessed. Currently, I was in class waiting for the bell to ring. I wanted to face Leah about what she’d done to me yesterday. She just ran off somewhere and disappeared leaving me all confused, and Alle saw everything. I sighed.

"What's up?" Abby whispered.

I shook my head.

"Well, you sighed.

"I don't know how to fix this."

Abby rubbed my back. "We can fix this. Don't worry."

The bell rang, and I was arranging my books when I saw Leah at the door. Good timing.

Abby noticed as well and nodded at me. "I'll wait nearby."

I nodded. I stood up and walked towards the door where Leah was smiling at me. "Why? Was all I could say right now.

Leah smiled wider. "Isn't it obvious?"

I sighed. "You caused me a lot of trouble."

Leah chuckled. "How does a kiss cause you trouble?"

"Well first, someone I like was watching."

"Wait. You like someone? But the girls said you were single."

I sighed. "I am. But I admire someone."

Leah looked sad. "Someone from school?"

I shook my head. "She's older than me."

She looked up. "Does this girl know about you?"

"We had dinner together once."

Leah smirked. "So you're not official yet?"

"Well no."

Her smirk got wider. "So that means I have time to make you fall for me?"

I raised my eyebrows. "What?"

Leah laughed. "I will search for this secret admire chick, and I will try to win you over." She turned her body and walked away from me.

This shit just got more complicated.

Abby walked to my side with Melanie.

"We heard." Melanie said and laughed. "Looks like little innocent Hazel just got an admire."

I smacked Melanie's shoulder. "No. I want somebody else to try to win me over."

All three of us walked towards the cafeteria while talking to each other.

"Oh!" Abby suddenly yelled out. "My granddaddy told me about her Las Vegas business thingy, and she wants me to bring two friends. So I told her Hazel and Melanie duh,. And she's already arranged for the trip. Let's go to Las Vegas!" She was talking too fast for me to register everything.

"What?"

Melanie chuckled. "She wants us to follow her to Las Vegas."

Las Vegas? As in using a plane? "I can't afford it."

Abby laughed. "I didn't ask you to pay, Haze."

I looked at her confusedly.

"My grandparents will pay for us. She just said have fun."

Well if they’re paying, I'm taking. "When?"

"Next two weeks. It is a school holiday."

Melanie and I looked at each other and smiled. "We're in." Melanie and I said in unison.

"Yay!" Abby said and put her arms on my shoulder and Melanie's.

We walked towards the cafeteria’s double doors, and one of the Football guys opened it for us.

"Thank you." Abby said and smiled.

The boy just looked at us like he was ready to kill us.

Melanie laughed. "Well, your captain should know better than to challenge my girl."

He scoffed and walked away.

"I love this power I have over them."

I laughed. "Well you definitely have the status for it."

Abby laughed. "I'll take that as a compliment."

When we seated at our usual table, 2 guys from the Football team walked to us with trays of food.

He placed it in front of us, and Abby just smelled it. "Delicious! You guys eat it first." She said and offered the spoon to them.

They looked at each other and sighed.

"We should know better."

I didn’t know what he meant by that.

"I know, boys. I'm too good for all of this. You should know better than to put Ipecac in the food." Abby said.

Wow she was good.

"Now, do you want to apologise or eat the food. Either is a win for me." Abby said and smirked.

The boys look at each other and sighed in defeat.

"We're sorry."

Abby smiled. "Forgiven. Now go."

Melanie and I looked at Abby. This was new. She usually would make the living life of the person who crossed her life hell.

"What?" "But you... Why didn't you... Who are you and what have you done to my Girlfriend?!" Melanie' said.

I laughed.

Abby chuckled. "I'm here! Just aunt Alle said to be nice to everyone even though it's your enemy." She said. "Also, she said by being snobbish you only bring more enemies and more problems to ourself. So. I'm being nice."

Melanie laughed. "How much she gave you to be nice?" She asked.

Abby looked at her in disbelief.

I chuckled.

"Well. $50."

"Well $50 is ok." I said, and Melanie scoffed.

"Haze, baby, it's fifty thousand." Melanie said, and I spat out my drink.

I wiped my mouth. "What the?! That much!"

Abby smiled sheepishly. "What? It's a good deal yes?"

I shook my head. "That's what we call using someone."

Abby laughed. ”Well, she's my aunt."

Suddenly, we all heard a phone ringing. It was Abby's.

"Hello?" Abby looked annoyed. "Mom, just speak English." She sighed. "Mamá. Nai, to xéro, allá Éllines akrivós pára polý dýskolo gia ména."

I looked at Melanie, and she looked at me.

"I think that's Greek."

I nodded and looked at Abby.

"Kalá entáxei. boreíte na deíte sto spíti." She said and hung up.

"What's up, babe?"

"Mom just call for her sudden test thing."

"You're learning Greek?"

"Yup. All I said was Greek was too hard for me and I will see her at home." Abby said and drank her drink. "Haze, how about today you go back home with me?" Abby asked me.

"Sure. I need to borrow the wifi, too, for this project."

Abby smiled.

Then, we all heard the bell ring and quickly finished our drinks. We walked to our classes separately and promised to meet at the parking lot by the end of the day...

NESSA'S POV

Meeting Allesandra was not what I had in mind for this short trip. I almost forgot how much fun it was to hang with her.

"You look... Different?"

I turned to see my little Sister. "Different? How?"

She looked through me. "Happier."

I laughed. "Well, maybe because I met Alle."

Her eyes widened. "Alle? That Larove chick?"

I nodded.

"Wait... Isn't she your... Oh God.." My Sister laughed.

"Reen! Don't laugh."

"Sis! Did your vagina fall from its place?"

I smacked her hand. "Be nice to me." I pouted.

Reen looked at me. "I'm sorry. But you and Alle have a lot of history together. I mean she call you a bimbo." She again laughed.

"I know. And she looks so... Amazing, Reen."

Reen smiled. "Well are you going to bam bam her?"

I laughed. "No. She told me about this crush she has.

"And you're okay with it?"

I nodded. "Why? I shouldn't be?

"Sis, you’re seriously in love with her! Why don't you just say it."

"Because I'm not someone who has the guts to say my feelings."

Reen scoffed. "That's why you're single."

I laughed. "Well, I'm single because I've been working since I graduated. Also for you."

Reen smiled. "I know, and I love it. Anyway! I'm going out with Kyle."

I sighed. "Why do you even date him? He's an idiot."

"Well, he has this arrow thing that points from his junk."

I was disgusted with that statement.

Reen laughed at my reaction and walked out of the kitchen.

"BE SAFE! Condoms and stuff. I don't need to take care of a kid."

Reen laughed. "I can't promise you that.” She just ran out.

"REEN I’M SERIOUS!" I yelled at her. Seriously, it was like I was raising a twenty-year-old kid.

I sighed and continued to finish my work. My parents thought I should have a little fun in LA, but all fun was sucked out when I noticed how bad the condition was of this company. How could someone like my dad be so... Blind? He let a lot of money flow out, but there was no money flowing in. I could say this was where it would be closed down. But I needed to think about the workers. I mentioned my problems to Alle, and she agreed to help. Just I needed to prepare the presentation, so I could meet her Mother. She said Mother could help me. I hoped so because if not I would have to close it down and move back to London.

Hmmmm... Alle. Alle would always be Alle. Fun, caring, funny, and responsible. Her parents raised her right. I remembered why I fell in love with her when we met at that cafe. I remembered the reason why my heart skipped a beat when I looked into those orbs. She told me about her red haired beauty, and I felt small. I was too shy to say my feelings. But couldn’t she see it? I meant I was showing it like crazy, and she totally bombarded me with that Friend zone shit in my face. Seriously, I licked her face clean in public. Was that not enough? I sighed. Well, Allesandra... I’d just let time flow and wait for my future...
