As I lay down at my bed, I blankly stared at the ceiling of my room. Thinking about what happen 4 days ago that made my memories of that day completely wiped out. The doctor said that by the time the ambulance came, they found me unconsciously lying on the floor. The doctor said that something hard hit my head causing me temporary memory loss. He also said that the memories will slowly pops out as time passes so there’s no need to worry. But something is bugging me for the past days. What if I won’t recall my missing memories even after a long period of time? Even though it’s only a month worth of memories, I still feel a bit lacking and uncontended. It’s as if something is missing and it makes me feel anxious if I don’t know what it is. After thinking for a long time, I suddenly remembered the wallet I picked up earlier. I immediately get up of bed and grabbed my phone and dialed the number listed on the owner’s card. Upon dialing, the phone rings for several times before it got picked up by the other line. ‘Hello?’, that single word soothed my ears the instant he said it. It’s as if I was charmed by someone. I snapped out of my hallucinations and instantly replied with an awkward flustered voice. ‘H-hello? I am the o-one whom you accidentally bumped e-earlier at the café’. The other line went silent. After a few seconds, ‘Ah! That lady. I’m really sorry about that. I was really in a rush so I didn’t saw you that time. But . . . how did you know my phone number?’. ‘Ah! About that, you see when we bumped into each other, you accidentally dropped your wallet and I happened to picked it up’ I said with a flustered tone. The other line changes his tone and replied in a relief. ‘Really?! Thank goodness. I thought I dropped it off somewhere. Thank you for picking it up but the money, you didn’t count it right?’. I was surprised all of a sudden. I didn’t talk for a while as I was feeling guilty of what he said. Well, I did count it off but it’s hard to admit it when the other person asked. As I went silent, the other line laughed all of a sudden. ‘Hahaha~ So you did count it, huh?’. I was flustered and admit my mistake in a desperate tone. ‘W-well, the money is f-fat, I m-mean it’s noticeable so I w-was just curious for a b-bit. I did count it but don’t w-worry! At the same time and location?’ I asked. ‘Okay, then see you tomorrow. Thank you again for picking up my wallet’, he said before hanging up. After that strange conversation, I don’t know what’s gotten into me. It’s my first time in my whole 30 years of living to feel like this. With that weird feeling, I forced myself to sleep and suddenly look forward to tomorrow. Morning comes and I went to work like any other day. Upon entering the office department, I was shocked after seeing Seo Jin’s current state. She looked like a dried corpse with her blood sucked up dry. He’s much more dangerous than my mom!’ she said. I was caught off guard and got no choice but to hear all of her nagging. I cannot speak up also as I feel inferior to the director. I went back to my desk and work throughout the day. During lunch break, Seo Jin grabbed my hand while I was still working and dragged me along with her. ‘Let’s go, hurry!
