Chapter 29 - Hypnotic Victory

Kuyes had long been wary of Li Wei's demonic hand.

However, just as he was about to block Li Wei's attack, a gunshot rang out. It came from the small-haired guy behind him, who had prepared for a long time and finally dared to take the risk and shoot.

But the bullets directly hit the back of the gang leader's head. Not just one, but several bullets from the young street punk, his eyes red, continuously pulled the trigger, and all the bullets hit Kuyes' occiput.

"I'll kill you! Kill you! Kill you!" The young man shouted wildly, seemingly driven by some intense stimulation, firing relentlessly.

For a master at the extreme level, the low-powered bullets from a handgun were, of course, not fatal. Even though Kuyes was completely unprepared, and the bullets hit a vulnerable spot like the back of his head, it still couldn't bring him to his death.

However, pain and head trauma were inevitable. Two or three bullets embedded in Kuyes' scalp at the back of his head, buzzing in his ears, felt like a normal person being hit in the head by a stone thrown from a short distance.

Given a moment, not much, just a breath or two, he could recover. But don't forget, Li Wei's demonic hand was reaching for his face!

A moment's opportunity determined life and death. Without any mercy, controlled by Li Wei, the blue demonic energy-formed claws directly grabbed Kuyes' entire head. The index and middle fingers of the demonic claw dug into Kuyes' eyes.

"Ah! Ah! Ah!" The strong man screamed while stepping back. The pain of losing his eyesight made it unbearable for him. Fresh blood flowed from the two eye sockets, covering his entire face.

The next moment, his miserable screams abruptly stopped. Li Wei's swift and fierce steel-cutting flash put an end to his suffering.

As Kuyes died, Li Wei felt an inexplicable surge of heat rising from his heart and spreading throughout his body.

This sensation made him feel both unfamiliar and familiar, somewhat similar to when he absorbed the vampire heart, but with some differences.

Putting aside this feeling for now, Li Wei kicked Kuyes' head away. Then he turned and looked at the young man with yellow hair, who had already regained consciousness, grinning and saying, "Thanks."

"What have I done?" The young man, with sweat soaking his body and a clump of yellow hair on his head, couldn't believe what he was seeing. He looked at Li Wei, who was smiling in front of him, and stared at his own hands in disbelief. His brain had become chaotic, and he dared not recall the scene just now.

Li Wei smiled faintly, without any intention of explaining.

Watching Li Wei approaching with a raised knife, the yellow-haired guy looked terrified. He raised his pistol, wanting to shoot, but found that the bullets had already been emptied in his previous madness.

"Goodbye." A farewell, a thrust of the knife, and the end came for him.

The Sharingan was indeed very, very, very useful.

Li Wei now heavily relied on this eye and felt fortunate that he obtained such an ability when he unsealed the pages of the Book of a Thousand Laws for the first time. Although the Sharingan's level was still low, and he only had one eye, its effects in various situations were satisfactory enough.

The insight ability of the eye was almost a must for Li Wei in battle. The Sharingan's insight allowed him to precisely observe and judge every movement of his opponents and make effective, targeted responses. This was his most crucial weapon against opponents at the extreme level.

As for the hypnotic effect, although it was almost ineffective against opponents at the extreme level, it could still reverse the situation in certain circumstances.

Like this time.

Naturally, the yellow-haired guy fell under the hypnosis of the Sharingan. The guy's mental abilities were quite ordinary among normal people. With just a casual glance during the fight, Li Wei successfully hypnotized him.

It was just a slight illusion, making the yellow-haired guy mistake himself and Kuyes. Moreover, the thought of "I have an irreconcilable feud with this guy" was also implanted in the yellow-haired guy's mind.

This was not difficult. Firstly, Li Wei and Kuyes were already very close in the close-quarters combat, and it was possible for a normal person's eyes to deceive them. As for the imposition of hatred, it was equally simple, as Li Wei and they were originally in an antagonistic relationship.

Thus, the scene where the yellow-haired guy crazily shot at Kuyes happened.

At first glance, Li Wei seemed to have swiftly dealt with all the opponents, even Kuyes at the extreme level. However, in reality, during the entire battle, Li Wei almost went all out, using all his means.

The result was not bad; he wiped out all the enemies and only suffered a bit of injury himself.

Looking into the distance, on the other side of the street separated by buildings, the brilliance of the ongoing battle shone brightly.

Blocked by houses, Li Wei couldn't see the specific scene of the battle. However, from the continuous brilliance and the resounding explosions, it was evident that the fight was still intense.

Li Wei was quite self-aware, so he didn't bother to join in the excitement. Six experts who broke through the gene lock, including Judith, who was just a step away from being an advanced demon hunter, were at a much higher level than Li Wei's current strength. He couldn't be of much help, and even watching from the sidelines might pose a danger to his life.

Hobbling, Li Wei walked to the side of "Wild Horse." Opening the car door, he sat in the driver's seat, then rummaged through the medical kit, preparing to deal with the gunshot wound on his thigh.

"I'll help you." A small head stretched over from behind.

"Never mind, you just sit back there." Li Wei rejected her.

However, the girl did not listen to him. Her slender body squeezed over from the back seat, quickly occupying the co-driver's seat. She found the medical kit before Li Wei and took out tweezers, gauze, and disinfectant.

Staring at him with a pair of shiny big eyes, Li Wei felt a bit uncomfortable and twisted his neck, saying, "You're my employer; you don't need to help me with this. I can handle it myself."

"Don't worry; I've dealt with these things many times." Yasha said, "I just don't want to stay idle; I want to do something, anything."

"Alright." Watching the girl tightly biting her lips, Li Wei gave up his insistence.

As she said, her experience in handling wounds was unexpectedly rich. Watching her skillfully clean the wound, use tweezers to remove the bullets embedded in the muscles, clean and disinfect again, and then wrap it with gauze, Li Wei began to feel a bit curious about her identity and origin.
