I listened attentively,ignoring Debby gold's presence, today's topic is geometry, and it is quite interesting.

I took notes of every thing he explained to us and I also stood up to ask question, when I was starting to get lost.
I got a lot of weird looks,and some called me name and some just made sly remark like "The new girl got brains",and others were like, "little mice want to learn mathematics."

The teacher called them to order as I asked my question, after which he answered and I understood what confused me.
Soon the bell rang,and the teacher announced to us that we will be having a pop quiz on Wednesday.
I just smiled at that while the others groan loudly, I even heard someone say "I hate mathematics" and then she groaned.

I was about to run out of the class after I stuffed my books in my backpack but Debby gold drag me back by my hair.
I kept screaming at her but she did not let go, instead she pulled it tighter, immediately my headache came back,and decided to stop screaming because it will just worsen it.

She kept me back until everyone left,well almost everyone, west Cooper stayed back and Samuel Adam came to join in on the fun, he locked the classroom door behind him.

"Let go off my hair Debby gold," Then she let go, "what is your problem with me? go pick on someone else."

"Since you do not have any manners, I will greet you, Good morning Azyma."

"Keep your greetings to yourself,what do you want from me? What is your problem?"

"You are my problem."

"How so?"

"Well you see I am a cat and you are a mice and cats chase mice, they do not stop until they have totally destroyed the mice then they will eat it."

"You want to eat me? Are you crazy?you are officially out of your mind, have you ever watched a show called Tom and Jerry, in that show jerry the mice always give Thomas the cat a very hard and difficult time, whenever tom disturb it. In this case you will be Tom, I will make sure you wish you never even noticed me in the first place, I learnt something about cats they are terrified of cucumbers,if you really are a cat, you will not go near anyone with a cucumber."

"Are you serious? How dumb do you think I am?"

"I think you are dumber than a sack of potatoes, now tell your guard dog to open the door and allow me out of this class, I did not know cats and dogs are now friends."

"Hey, new girl I am not in on this little game you girls are playing." Said Samuel Felix.

"Then why is the door locked and you in the front of you? Also my name is Axymah not new girl. You are guarding the door so I do not leave, I wonder what you will do when I get in front of you, talk, yell bark,or you will walk out of the way and allow me to leave."

"Listen here you bitch, real cats are not scared of cucumbers and what exactly can you do to me? Oh I know, nothing." Said the little slut in front of me.

"Do not judge a book by its cover."

"And what exactly do you mean by that."

"Enough."

Both myself and Debby gold turned our head at the person who said that, west Cooper.

"That is enough Debby gold, Sammy move out of the way and open the door." West commanded.
Samuel was about to move but the sound of Debby gold's voice stopped him.

"Do not move an inch from that door."

"Why?" Asked west.

"Because I am not done."

"What else do you want to say, what do you have against her?"

"Everything."

"Name one."

She stayed quiet before replying. "That is not your problem."

"Debby leave her alone."

"Why are you defending her do you have a crush on her or something?"

"No I do not have a crush on her but I have a conscious, I guess a cat like you will not understand that."

I then decided to leave and allow them to bicker, besides I do not want to miss my next class.
I got to the door but Samuel was still standing in front of it,I thought about your options.

"I am not a dog so I cannot bark, I do not like to yell so I will just move out of your way."

"Do not allow her to go."

"What do you want me to do? Bark at her? I am sorry but I am not a character to this game of yours." He said and moved out of the way.
I unlocked the door with my backpack over my shoulder and proudly walked out of there. 
As soon as I reached the hallway I rushed to my locker took the books I need for my next class out and I rushed to the classroom.

Thankfully there was no teacher in the class yet, I was so glad, I do not want to spoil my grades by getting detention,after school and my step father will kill me if I arrive home late.
He will not believe me if I tell him it was because I got detention I came home late, he would make me taste my end.

"Good day class, greeted the English teacher, turn your text book to page nine and let us begin, we will continue the novel we were reading on Friday."

"Today's topic is concord, open your text book to page nine and let us begin."
I paid perfect attention before, Alero saw me, she then scribbled something on a piece of paper and threw it it me.

It unfortunately fell on the floor and I tried to pick it up with out being noticed by Mr Walter.
I successfully picked it up, I opened it to see what she wrote down, where were you? I replied her with the continuous rotation of my index finger and I mouthed later.

I tore the paper and I kept it with me,I will dispose of it on my way out, class went by smoothly, and I was happy, today is really a good  day for me.

I wondered where I got all those courage from, I guess my abuse step father has made me stronger, the constant abuse would make some people weak.

It would make them, scared of every person, they will not be able to speak out,I can speak out to any one in this world who is not my step father.
This abuse has made me stronger and more up tight, not easily trusting and scared of only one thing.
I listened attentively and understood everything he said, soon after class ended and he gave us homework, we should write five concords, explain it with four examples each.
The bell rang everyone left eager to go to lunch, I was about to leave but he called me back,he then gave me a paper I did not even know he was holding.

"Here, this is your report I scored you on it, I will add the mark to your grade as your bonus mark, take it then you can leave, also I asked you to write a summary of the novel but you did not so, I can not score you higher than twenty four out of thirty."

"Sir I have not read the whole book."

"This is a report Axymah, you should have gone to read the whole book then write a summary of it."

"Okay, I am really sorry."

"Thank you."

"It is nothing."

I took it from him and walked out of the class, I took a look at what score he gave me.

He gave me twenty and a half out of thirty,well he did say he could not give me more than twenty four so I guess I passed. I turned it to see the multiple mistakes he listed out that I made, I should have gotten higher than this.

I will check it later, I walked to the laboratory,I just remembered I have no idea where the laboratory is I just hope I do not get lost.

Austin's POV
      I reached the laboratory and met Alero and Dinela waiting, her ladies, hi, I wonder why Azyma did not just wait till the end of school before doing this experiment.

"Maybe it has something to do with her step father, maybe he is so conservative he does not like her to leave the house."

"Dinela?"

"What?"

"Do not talk like that, do not say what you do not know, maybe she has other things to do."

"Yes but."

"Drop it Dinela, she has other things to do, leave it at that."

"Okay whatever."

"You girls should not fight over this matter please." Austin pleaded.

"I just hope she reveals to us what really is going on,I know she is hiding something."
But for now all we can do is wonder and it is causing my friends to argue and fight and I definitely do not like that.

End of POV.

After wandering for about two minutes I finally found it, I walked in and saw Alero and her friends were waiting.

"What kept you? You and Alero had the same class, how come she got here before you?" Said Austin.

"Hey, relax, calm down, are we fighting? Mr Walter called me back to give me the report he asked me to write as punishment for not listening in class, I told you guys that I wanted to submit it the other day, he scored it and he decided to make the score a bonus one and add it to my grades."

"Really?" Asked Alero.

"Yes."

"Can I see the report?" Ask Dinela.

"It is just Mr Walter has never done that before." She said in her defense.

"There is a first time for everything." Said Alero.
I brought it out and I handed it to her.

"He gave you a twenty and a half?!"

"Yes, out of a thirty, can you believe it."

"And he also wrote out all your mistakes, I think you should work on them."

"Yeah I will."

"Let me see." Alero said as she snatched it from Dinela's hands.
Austin also went to Alero so he could take a look.

"I think you deserve a lot more than you got." Alero said.

"What is the report about?" Austin asked.

"Mr Walter asked me to write a summary of *better days Ahead*."

"Oh, can I read it while you three do your experiment."

"Okay sure,I really hope this laboratory has everything we need to do this electrolysis experiment."

"Of course it has, we got a silver spoon, we got the cathode and the anode,and we got an iron spoon." Said Dinela.

Then we got started on the experiment, after a while, we got hungry and brought out our lunch.
I proudly brought out my sandwich and orange juice while the others brought out there's, Dinela got thirsty and she asked if she could have  some of my orange juice, I said yes and she drank some.

The experiment was going well as Alero, kept on reading my report,we tried to meet up with time.
After Alero was finished she kept it in my backpack.

"This is not a summary of it,how can it end like this."

"Yeah,I only wrote about four chapters because I did not read the whole book."

"Maybe that is part of the reason you got twenty and a half, if you had actually read the whole book then he might have scored you higher."

"Yes it is, he told me that he could not give me more than twenty four because I did not write a summary of the novel."

"Okay, so why were you not in the hallway after first period?"

I began telling them what happened and how west defended me and how i called Samuel a guard dog.
Dinela burst out into laughter after I told her the part where I called Samuel a guard dog but Alero was really upset about that.
I did not understand why at first well not until Dinela reminded me that I called Alero's crush a guard dog, I then apologized to her.
After I was done Austin asked me why west Cooper defended me, I said I do not know, that he did the same thing the first time Debby gold bullied me.

"What do you mean?"

"Are you saying that when she poured her lunch on you was not the first time she picked on you? Dinela asked while trying to fix the anode and the cathode, the positive and negative ions."

"Yes before I got to the cafeteria that same day she tripped me and pulled my hair, that was the day she introduced the game of her being the cat and I being the mice."

"Oh, yes, we should have known since the time we witnessed her pick on you, the name mice already stuck to her and to you too."

"Finally, we were done, let us write in a sheet of paper the procedures we took in making the experiment." Said Austin.

"The end product of the experiment was that the silver spoon does easily rust in the presence of water while the iron spoon rusts easily in the presence of water." Dinela read out loud.

We heard the bell ring for end of lunch, we hurriedly kept the end product of the silver spoon and the iron spoon we all kept it in a nylon an kept it in our backpack.
After which we ran to our locker to get our books for the next class and I kept my experiment in it as well.
We rushed to our respective classes and thankfully I was not late.

The rest of the day went well without a sign of Debby gold,after the bell for the end of school rang,I exited the class and went to the hallway to meet Alero and her friends.
I got there and we all left the school smiling.

"Alright ladies see you tomorrow."

"Bye Austin." The three of us said in unison.
After which we all went our separate ways. 
Today has been great I just hope my step father does not ruin it for me.
