"Wake up! Wake up!" I heard someone say and tap me from my sleep.

"Come on get up, we have arrived at your house." As I heard that I woke up and I was back to my senses, I grabbed my school bag from the car floor and opened the door.

"Thank you, Mrs. Amira, and have a nice day."

"You too dear." I walked to the front door and tried to make all the evidence of sleep disappear but I was failing at it so u decided to let it go, I opened the door and got inside the house.

"What took you so long?" My mom yelled.

"You could have said "welcome home my daughter" or "go shower and come eat," but instead the only thing you can say is "what took you so long?"

"Where were you? And why do you look drowsy? This is 6:25 pm, you are usually home before 5:00 pm so tell me where were you?" My mom asked.

"I fell asleep in the cab, I had so much cleaning to do at school, the janitor didn't even help out, I usually come home some minutes past five, not before five." I had to lie that I was cleaning if not she'll give me an ear full.

"Okay, go change and come eat." I walked to my room and dropped my bag on the floor, I was feeling really tired, the moment I hit the bed I was out like a light.

I woke up with neck pain, I probably slept on my neck, I need to go to the spa, how long was I asleep for? I asked myself, I checked the time and it was 12:12 pm.

Wow, I slept for six hours but it feels like I just closed my eyes for a minute and opened it back, I wonder if it's only me that feels this way at times.

The next thing I started feeling was hunger, I didn't eat when I got back, I am starving, I'll go to the kitchen in search of food, I pray my parents are sleeping soundly in their room.

I crept stealthily and quietly to the kitchen, there was nothing on the kitchen island and in the coolers, I checked the fridge and I saw rice and beans in a plastic container, and in another container, I found stew with fish in it.

I served myself on a plate and pop the dish in the microwave, I set the timer to three minutes, and while my food was heating up, I grabbed a drink Fanta to be precise from the fridge and poured it into a cup and a bottle of water, after my food was done heating up I put everything in a tray so it will be easier to carry, afterward I crept stealthily and quietly back to my room and locked the door behind me after I kept the tray on my bed.

Being an only child has its perks but sometimes I get lonely, I wish my parents could try for another child after they had me they stopped trying for another child and when I asked why they told me that I am enough for them but deep down I feel like there is more to it than they are letting on.

I ate my food in silence and I grabbed my phone, I decided to watch a movie on it, I ended up watching pom.

Its a movie about old women that want to become cheerleaders st the end one of them died of cancer, anyways I finished the movie and my food then I crept to the kitchen and washed all I used and kept them back to where I took them from, I really should consider being a ninja I am so stealth.

I laid back down and I didn't know what to do, no one was online on WhatsApp so I went to Facebook and started checking out people's posts and I replied to some messages that were sent to me three months ago. I didn't later sleep, I have to go to school early if I want to keep fooling my parents that I still work with the janitor.

Once it was 5:00 am I went to the bathroom, did my business, and took a nice hot, steaming bath, I finished and came out of the bathroom.

I dressed in a Royal blue offs shoulder, short flay dress with matching boots, I cleaned my room, grabbed my backpack and I went to the dining room to get my breakfast, by now it was already 6:12 am, I saw my mom in the kitchen and I went to go greet her.

"Good morning mom."

"Morning dear, how did you sleep?"

"I slept well and you?"

"Same."

"Go eat breakfast, you know you have to go to school early."

"I remembered I have homework that I have not done and I also remembered Dinela told me my mom asked her to keep tabs on me, I'll confront her about that when I get back from school, now I have to think of how I will do my mathematics homework in time, today is Wednesday, I have mathematics first period, I said as I checked my schedule, I am sure the maths teacher will ask us to submit the homework after class, how do I do it?

My dad came to the dining room and my mom gave him toast and coffee, while I drank golden more. We finished our breakfast, I went to the kitchen to drop my empty bowl and I grabbed my lunch back from the kitchen slab then headed to the car, we were on our way to school when I brought out my Mathematics homework and I started to do it.

"Are you just doing your homework?" My dad asked surprised.

"Yes well I forgot to do it yesterday, I was very tired." 

"That is no excuse, don't ever let this happen again." My dad said.

"Okay, sorry." I faced my homework after that but, the car keeps moving up and down, I couldn't write properly but I was able to answer five questions, out of twenty.

I am in big trouble if I don't submit the homework that's four hours of detention for me.

"We are here." My dad announced.

"Have a nice day." My dad told me.

"You too." I packed my books back into my backpack and exited the car, I don't want to get detention, I didn't even bother going to my locker instead went straight to class.

Being in senior secondary school two is hard to thank goodness it will all be over by next year, I'll be a university girl in no time. I got to class then I realized I am very early school doesn't start till 8:00 am and this is 7:08 am.

I feel so relieved, how could I have forgotten that, I quickly took my seat and finished up my homework, I was having difficulties with the last three questions, and I was trying to solve them when Samuel came in.

"Good morning, what's up?" He greeted.

"Morning, nothing much just trying to finish up my homework, having trouble with the last three questions." 

"What subject?"

"Mathematics."

"I am pretty good with mathematics so I can help that's if you want me to."

"Yes please but you have to explain to me how you do it."

"Sure."

He explained to me the last three questions and he helped me solve them, I was flushed, I mean my crush is standing right next to me and he is talking to me, what is better than this? We finished quite quickly.

"I and my guys planned on going to the movies tonight but they bailed, I still want to go but I don't want to alone so would you mind going with me?"

"Not at all."

"So... it's a date?"

"It's a date."

"Cool, I'll stop by your house by 7:00 pm."

"Okay," I said with a blush, then he left, I made sure he was out of the class before I squealed, I am so excited, I was wrong, going on a date with Samuel is better than just standing next to him and speaking to him.

Everywhere started coming into class, looks like school has started, I have a good feeling about tonight.

The maths teacher asked us to turn in our mathematics homework, it's good I remembered it, I should pay more focus and attention to schoolwork.

School finished afterward, I was waiting for my dad to come to pick me up but then I remembered he still thinks I am still in the school punishment, I wonder how long I have to stay before he'll come to pick me up, I decided to go help the janitor instead of just standing around.

"Good afternoon." I greeted the janitor, I met him cleaning the first floor, should he not clean the second floor before cleaning the first?

"What do you want Missy?"

"I want to help you."

"Why? You were not so kin with the idea of being a janitor and you were happy being relieved of your punishment."

"So you are saying you don't want me to help you?"

"Why would I reject a helping hand? You can help, go clean the second floor."

"Why are you cleaning the first floor before cleaning the second floor?"

"I was too lazy to go up the stairs."

"Oh..., okay." I headed to the janitor's closet to get the cleaning supplies.

Samuel's POV.

"Why on earth did you ask me to meet you here? What if the janitor comes in? He'll think we are doing something in here, it's his closet after all."

"That's by the way, have you asked Alero out yet?"

"Yeah, and she accepted, what's the plan now? I don't want to go on a date with her, I don't like her in any way besides I already have a girlfriend."

"I know, I just want you to toy with her emotions a bit, I want you to break her."

"Why she has crossed all the lines with me and if you don't do it, that's the end of your relationship with Happiness."

"No, don't do that, you of all people shoulder know how much I love Happiness, she has been my crush since I was in primary school now that I have finally gotten her you..."

"Just be quiet," she interrupted me, "I want you to toy with her, if you refuse that's the end of both you and Happiness's relationship, I'll poison her mind against you."

"Okay, I'll do it."

"Good choice."

I got to the janitor's closet and opened it, I found Debby gold and Samuel in there, I was shocked, they are both fully dressed so I know they are not getting sexual.

"What are you two doing in here?" I asked upset.

"Nothing." Debby gold answered and exited the janitor's closet.

"I was confronting her about something, we were not doing anything."

"Okay."

"Don't forget to come to pick me up by 7:00 pm."

"How can I? Later" He said and pecked me on the cheeks then left I immediately melt, my face was flushed, I was grinning like an idiot, I started walking out of the school when I remembered I was going to get the cleaning supplies, I quickly went back to the janitor's closet to get them.

I can't feel my brain right now, I got the supplies and I went to go clean the second floor. I was almost done mopping the floor when I saw my dad standing a few feet from me.

"Dad?, What are you doing here?"

"Dinela told me you were relieved of your punishment, that you were playing with your mom and I but I knew my daughter would never do such a thing that's why I came to see for myself, I am so glad she was wrong, I have been standing here for the past thirty minutes, I watched you sweep the floor."

"Dinela has been making things up about me, I don't know why, I didn't know she could stoop so low."

"She even said something about you going to try to save Mrs. Amira and you have a video or something, I know it's not true, finish up let's go home."

"Okay, dad."

"It was foolish of me to doubt my daughter, I am sorry, it will never happen again." 

"I hope it doesn't because I feel so hurt, Mom asked Dinela to keep tabs on me," I said with a frown, thank goodness I decided to help the janitor out if not only God knows what would have happened.

"We will talk about all this at home." 

"Okay." I finished up, grabbed my backpack from the stairs, and left the school with my dad, I forgot that I am grounded so how will I go on a date with Samuel, there is no way my parents will allow that, I will just lie to them that I am going to go confront Dinela, today was a narrow escape.

We got home but my mom was not around, we looked for her but she wasn't home.

"Let me call her." Few rings later. "Hello, where are you? You were wrong, my daughter did no such thing, maybe if you trust her more instead of listening to Dinela... Don't give me that, come home now." With that, he hung up.

"She'll be here soon."

"Please don't be mad at her," I decided to play the good daughter so my dad will stay on my side. "She was probably just worried about me."

"That does not mean for her to lose trust in her daughter."

"Anyways did you hear the news? Mr. Dario is behind bars now."

"Yeah, I heard, I wonder who his accomplice is."

"Yeah that's a huge mystery, I am tired can I go to my room now?"

"Yes, your mom also made lunch so you can go eat."

"Just go easy on her okay."

"Okay."

I went to my room and freshened up, today was not funny at all, I should plan on how I'll leave this house and go on that date with Samuel but first I have to make a phone call. I dialed the number and made the phone call.

I hung up the call after my conversation ended, I heard shouting coming from the house, and I went outside to go check what was happening.
