Car Accident

"I need to go out for a bit." Lily changed her shoes and left without looking back.

"Ah, ma'am!" Mrs. Lee called out from behind. Seeing that Lily had already driven away, she ran back to call James Carter.

On his way back, James Carter hung up Mrs. Lee's call and tried calling Lily, but she didn't answer, which frustrated him so much that he hit the steering wheel hard.

His face dark and gloomy, he called Chris Cloud, "Locate the lady's position and send it to me."

Lily didn't answer James Carter's calls and let them go to voicemail.

Glancing at her dimmed phone screen, she returned to concentrate on driving. Unexpectedly, a car overtaking from another lane suddenly appeared at a downhill turn.

It was too late for Lily to brake, and she collided with the other car. Her body lurched forward, and her forehead hit the steering wheel hard.

When she regained consciousness, she saw the other car reversing and rapidly charging towards her.

Lily's eyes widened in terror as she felt her car being violently hit and rolling down the right side of the hill.

A loud crashing noise filled her ears, followed by an endless darkness...

The sedan fled the scene after pushing Lily's car down the hill.

Looking at the location sent by Chris Cloud, James Carter realized that Lily hadn't gone far and sped up.

As he approached the red dot on his phone, James Carter finally sensed something was wrong. He stopped and exited the car when he arrived near the accident site.

Frowning deeply, he checked the red dot and the location on his phone back and forth. Walking forward, he finally saw the brake marks on the ground and some debris from the car.

A sense of unease grew in his heart. Turning towards the hillside, he saw the tracks of a car rolling down. His heart skipped a beat, and he hurriedly crossed the barrier, rushing down the slope while calling Lily's name.

"Lily!"

The further down he went, the heavier his heart felt, wishing he had the power to teleport.

He finally saw Lily's car blocked by several large trees, preventing it from rolling to the foot of the hill.

James Carter ran towards it, tripping over tree branches and tumbling down.

Seeing Lily unconscious in the car, he quickly grabbed a nearby tree, barely stopping himself.

"Lily," James Carter, ignoring his pain, staggered towards the car.

His phone was lost during the fall, his clothes torn in several places, but he had no mind to check himself, only thinking of Lily.

Approaching the car, he saw Lily's face covered in blood, fear overtaking him completely.

"Lily," James Carter reached through the broken car window to check her breath, finding it faint. He gently tapped her cheeks, trying to wake her up, but there was no response.

James Carter opened the driver's door, seeing Lily covered in blood, with glass shards cutting through her clothes.

"Lily, wake up."

"Lily," he stroked her cheek, but she remained motionless, like a lifeless doll.

James Carter opened the back door and entered the car, searching for Lily's phone to call for help, but couldn't find it.

"Where's the phone?"

James Carter became frantic, his eyes turning red and moist.
