Jenny’s POV

I opened the door and was shocked to see that the visitor in Coach Jamie’s office was my dad. Now you must be thinking how do I know what my dad looks like since he left me really young.Well my Grandma Betty still has pictures of him so I know very well what he looks like. My dad is 5ft 9 a few inches taller than me. He has dirty blond hair  like me. He also has the icy blue eyes like I have. So yea I look like my dad. 

I walked in and looked at him and glared “What are you doing here?” He was shocked he didn't know what to say really. Coach Jamie speaked for him “Sweetie your dad has come back to stay. To make it easier on you he asked to stay at my place.” I laughed and laughed so hard that I teared up and I finally got my composure and said, “So let me guess mom left you. You had nothing keeping you there so you decided to come back and have a relationship with your daughter.” I raised my voice a bit for the next part, “WELL IT AINT GOING TO HAPPEN!” My dad had a surprised look on his face and just shaked his head and turned to Coach Jamie and said, “Imma finish getting my stuff moved in. I think Jenny needs to speak with you.” He then turned to me and said, “Jenny I do not expect you to have a relationship with me right off. I did leave you because of your mother. Which is a poor excuse. I hope you can eventually give me a chance.” My dad opened the door and walked out. 

I looked at Coach Jamie and told her, “I do not want to talk about it. I am just here to inform you that I changed Co-captains. Emily has no respect for me because of what happened and I will not put up with it. We do not need that right now. So I appointed Kate. She is the next best thing. Also she should be here soon so let me text her.”

Texts between Jenny and Kate 

Jenny: r u on ur way here yet? 

Kate: Yes, Emily was giving me a hard time. But I handled it

Jenny: I figured she would she isnt to happy. W/ my decision but i could care less 

Kate: yeah btw sorry for telling Emily tht u 2 were broken up & tht she could fuck him 

Jenny: Its all good its in the past dont fret. She shouldve check w/ me first. She knew we had unspoken beef. She was too blinded by lust & it got her nowhere in the end unfortunately

Kate: Why r u so forgiving?

Jenny: well idk if u know but my parents left me when i was 2 my mother wanted to be a supermodel & an actress so having me wasnt something she wanted. I just think you dont know wht the person is going thru so why should u torment them if they do something hurtful 2 u. 

Kate: omg srry 2 hear tht. Ur better off w/out them. From wht it sounds like

Jenny: thnks r u almost here

Kate: Yea coming down the hall now

Back to Jennys POV

Jennys POV 

I clicked the button to turn off my phone screen and looked up to Coach Jamie and said, “Kate is coming down the hall now.” She nodded and I sat down on one of the guest chairs in front of her desk and opened my phone to instagram. By the time I started scrolling Kate knocked and came in the office door. Coach Jamie told her to have a seat on the chair that is beside me. 

Coach Jamie started speaking, “Kate I heard you're the new Co-captain congrats. I will get new sweats that go over your uniform for you. You should have that by the next game. I will also have to order new swears uniforms for Emily also since she isn't the co-captain anymore. Now do we have a mix for the homecoming show?” I replied to coach Jamie, “No we do not but I have some mixes  I can send.” I turned to Kate, “One of your many duties of being co-captain is helping with mixes and choreographing cheer dances for competitions and halftime shows. So with that being said if you would tonight could you look for some and email them to Coach jamie. Usually Coach Jamie picks them so it's fair.” Kate nodded and said, “i'll get right on that then.” Coach Jamie started to talk again “Ok also I need to yall to work on tumbling and stunts today. Next practice needs to be done outside. I have an appointment so I need to get going. You ladies may get back to practice.” Kate and I both nodded and stood up and headed back to the gym. 

As we were about to open the gym door we heard Emily talking real loudly, “Yes I fucked her boyfriend behind her back. It was because she always thinks she is all that. That she is a little miss perfect. She has the dream car that I wanted and she knew that when she got it. When I liked Tyler she went after Tyler. She always has to have what I have. She can't think for herself! Oh and you want to know something Coach Jamie is her……” Before Emily could tell my biggest secret I opened the gym door and yelled, “My aunt!” Emily and everyone looked at me with a surprised look. Emily wasn't expecting me to tell but I did it with no use of hiding it anymore. “Yes she is my aunt and we both did not know it until after I became cheer captain. She is my dad's sister. The only reason we found out is because she realized who my grandma was. Trust me she doesn't favor me at all. We did not want anyone to know because she didn't want yall to think she favors me over yall” I looked at Emily and glared and started to raise my voice “NOW AS OF YOUR NASTY REMARKS YOU ARE BENCHED FOR THE NEXT 2 GAMES INCLUDING HOMECOMING! I DIDN'T KNEW YOU WANTED MY CAR THAT I HAVE. YOU NEVER TOLD ME. NOR DID I KNOW YOU LIKED TYLER. I WOULDN'T HAVE GONE OUT WITH HIM IF YOU DID AND YOU KNOW THAT! I DO NOT WANT EVERYTHING YOU HAVE! SO STOP PUTTING YOUR ANGER OUT ON ME BECAUSE TYLER DOES NOT WANT TO BE WITH YOU. HE PROBABLY IS SCARED THAT YOU WOULD GO BEHIND HIS BACK AND FUCK ANOTHER DUDE LIKE A WHORE. BECAUSE YOU DID IT WITH HIM KNOWING HE HAS A GIRLFRIEND. THAT WAS YOUR BEST FRIEND OF ALL PEOPLE. THE REAL PROBLEM IS YOU AND YOU KNOW IT!” I lowered my voice and addressed the team “Now does anyone else have any more problems with me? If you don't let us get on with practice.” Everyone shakes their heads no. I turned to Kate and said, “I am sorry that I did not tell you the relationship between me and coach Jamie. I didn't even know that Emily knew. I never told her.” She looked at me and said, “it is fine. If I knew sooner I would have probably used it against you. But I know that you got the captain spot on your own.” I looked at her with admiration and smiled, “You're so much better when you're not trying to pull me down. Imma try to help you on the Jax situation but please lay low on trying too hard. Do not flirt with him as much.” She nodded and said “Ok I can do that and Thank you. Now should we get practice going?” I said, “Yea lets do this.” 

Kate and I spilt up the team into two groups. I took one group and she took the other. I practiced tumbling with my group and she practiced stunts. We rotated the groups and practiced some more. After about an hour we decided to call it quits for the day. Kate and I walked out to the parking lot after everyone left. I got in my car and drove home. Once I got home grandma Betty was sitting on the couch with an expression that she wanted to talk. The problem is that I know what she wants to talk about and I am not ready to talk about it. I told her give me a few to get settled and I will come and sit and talk. Grandma Betty nodde, I ran upstairs, put my stuff down and changed into some comfy clothes. Ran downstairs and got a soda out of the fridge and sat down on the couch beside her and said, “Lets Talk.”
