Chapter Eight: The Next Morning

Jennys POV

My alarm went off and I got up and started to get dressed. Jax texted me and reminded me that he was riding with me to school. I am so excited to see Kate's smug face turn into a jaw dropping look. I know this makes me seem like a class A bitch but Kate has tormented me for years with absolutely no reason. I guess it's because she's jealous but I don't know why she would be. Her dad is rich and she has everything she could possibly want except for my spot on the team but she is a year below me so she will have her chance. So why does she have to come after me all the time?

I went downstairs after I got ready and ate my breakfast. I had cereal and my grandma Betty had to go to work earlier than usual. I texted Jax that I am ready to go so meet me at my car. I have a black convertible by the way. I grab my stuff and my keys and go out to my car and Jax is there. He is wearing a black t-shirt,a leather jacket, jeans with a chain hanging down, with white hightops, and his hair is all messy like. Jax looked so good leaning against my car. I shook my head  of those thoughts and I pressed the button on my key fob and unlocked my car. I told him to get in and to put his stuff in the backseat if he wants. I put my stuff in the backseat and got in and started my car and started to drive to school.

Jax started talking, “I like your car, it is really nice. Did your grandma buy it for you?”. I chuckled at that thought and said, “No grandma Betty was against me buying this. I think it was because it reminds her of my mom. My mom had a convertible when she met my dad. You see my mom never wanted to have kids because she wanted to be a supermodel and actress. Having a baby would ruin that. So when she had me she told my dad if he loved her he would leave me with his mom and go to hollywood to start her career. That is what  they did. I was two at the time.” Jax looked shot and replied, “wow that is messed up. Have you heard anything from your mom and dad? I replied, “No and I honestly could care less they made their choice to abandon their daughter. Let them live with it. If they ever try to come back I will not let them. They didn't want me then why should I let them in now you know?” Jax nodded and agreed.

I pulled into the school parking lot and into my parking space and got out. Jax got out after me. I already felt the stares of students. He asked me, “Do you want to walk to class together?” I replied with a nod. So we walked into the school and everyone was staring. Once we got to my first class, Jax told me that he would catch me at lunch. I told him ok. I walked in the classroom with a big smile on my face for the first time in a week and sat down beside my ex.
