Chapter 014 There Is a Kind of Love in This World Called Blindness

Before Algernon could finish speaking, Carr turned around and glanced at him with a sharp look.

Seeing this, Algernon shrugged and didn't take it seriously. He twitched his lips.

Just as Algernon was about to turn around, a cold voice came. "I don't want anyone to know the matter about her."

When Algernon heard his words, he turned around, nodded at Carr, and left.

Carr stood in the quiet corridor for a while, fumbling in his pocket for a pack of cigarettes. Just as he was about to open it, he remembered that he was in the hospital.

Therefore, he threw it into the trash can without hesitation.

When Carr withdrew his hand, his face darkened as he saw the clear teeth marks.

Knowing that Randolph was alone in the ward, he headed for the ward in quick steps.

When Carr returned to the ward, he thought Randolph was asleep. However, Randolph stared at him with his head tilted as he came in.

"Why aren't you asleep yet?"

As soon as he said this, Carr was inexplicably worried.

He had never been with a child before, so he felt a little nervous when facing Randolph.

"I'm waiting for you."

Carr felt that Randolph didn't accept him after they got along with each other for two times.

Most importantly, Randolph didn't call him daddy.

Carr was eager to talk to Randolph even if he didn't address him. It might be because that Randolph was his biological son.

"What's the matter?" Carr tried to look calm.

"I want to talk to you." Randolph stared at Carr with serious expression and frowned.

>

Carr raised his eyebrows slightly. He didn't think that they had to talk as Randolph was weak.

"Do you like my mommy?"

Randolph didn't wait Carr's agreement, but threw a question at him.

Hearing this, Carr frowned unhappily.

Carr had a hunch that the hypocritical woman would instill something in Randolph, but he didn't expect him to ask so soon.

With this in mind, Carr's face became more darkened. It seemed that he was right to take Randolph away.

"Okay, I know the answer."

Randolph said calmly.

After a while, Carr didn't hear Randolph speaking. He looked at Randolph in confusion, only to find that Randolph was staring at him with his big bright eyes.

"You have another question?"

Randolph nodded, but then shook his head.

Carr didn't know his meaning. Thinking about tomorrow's operation, he said, "After the operation, I'll give you a chance to ask."

After saying that, he thought that Randolph wouldn't accept his idea. After all, children always hoped his requests be met all the time.

"Okay."

He didn't expect Randolph's answer. He closed his eyes without saying more.

Carr was a little surprised by this.

Although they had only met three times so far, he still felt that Randolph was unusually sensible and precocious.

No wonder Senior Mrs. Jackson liked Randolph so much.

Just as Carr thought that Randolph would keep silent, he heard Randolph muttering in a low voice.

"My mommy is so nice. Why don't you like her?"

Carr didn't intend to let Randolph know about this.

"Actually, my mommy is gentle, generous, brave, smart, strong, and optimistic. She is perfect. How could you not like her?"

Hearing this, Carr subconsciously looked at Randolph, only to find the proud look on his face.

Carr turned to look out the window. He really didn't want to let little Randolph down.

"Love is blind!"

Randolph's compliment to Giselle was totally nonsense!

In Carr's opinion, Giselle was just a hypocritic woman!

"You will regret it!"

Randolph pouted unhappily. "But since you don't like my mommy, why don't you divorce her?"

"What?"

For a moment, Carr thought he must had heard him wrong. But Randolph's expression did confirm that he had heard that sentence.

"Do you know what divorce means?"

"Don't treat me like a child." Randolph pouted even more with a frown. He looked so cute, but if only her face wasn't so pale.

"You have always been a little kid."

Carr seemed to learn Randolph again.

Randolph had been cold with him before. However, at this moment, Carr felt that the conversation between them was like that between a father and his son.

"Are you really not interested in my mommy?"

It seemed that Randolph didn't believe it and he asked again.

"Your mommy doesn't like me either! She even bit me!"

Carr answered with a snort. He was burning with anger when he saw the hand that had just been bitten by Giselle.

As Randolph heard this, a light came into his eyes.

It was really interesting that his mommy even bit his dad.

A faint smile appeared on his lips. Randolph's voice was flat. "So I support your divorce."

After that, Randolph closed his eyes soon fell asleep again without any word.

>

Looking at the little guy sleeping beside him, Carr couldn't help but feel more than a little upset.

When he heard three-year-old Randolph mention it, a sense of overwhelm made him hard to breathe.

As Randolph needed a surgery the next day, it would be better for him to have a good rest. So Carr fell asleep on the empty bed next to Randolph without overthinking.

They had an dreamless night!

The next morning, Senior Mrs. Jackson was accompanied to the ward by Will. Of course, Giselle had already been there.

"Randolph, did you have a good rest last night?" Sitting by the bed, Senior Mrs. Jackson looked at Randolph lovingly.

Randolph nodded with a smile. "Great-grandmother, I had a good rest last night."

"Well, that's good. My dear Randolph, you will be fine after you gets into the operating room and have a nice sleep."

"Great-grandmother, when I recover I will take you to travel around the world. This is my promise to you and I will definitely keep it."

Randolph's caring words warmed the old lady's heart.

Giselle had always been near Randolph. Everyone watched Randolph here, so none of them noticed Carr at all.

Giselle wanted to go over to have a small talk with Carr. But at the thought of their intense relationship, she dropped the idea lest he would be angry with her.

"Giselle, Carr and Randolph will be in the operating room soon. Go and help the doctor measure Carr's heart rate."

The doctor had just started to prepare Randolph for the operation. So Senior Mrs. Jackson asked Giselle to do it for Carr.

Suddenly, Giselle found herself in a big top.

It was the last thing she wanted to do!
