Chapter 002 That's Your Real Purpose, Right?

Giselle looked at him and caught his meaning. Though froze at his words, she had little emotion inside.

She never expected anything from this relationship.

In the brightly lit hall, although Carr casually sat on the bronze-colored leather sofa, the domineering and powerful aura exuded from him, giving people an inescapable feeling.

Giselle paused slightly and turned away. Instead, she turned around, stood upright, and looked down at a grey-haired but amiable old lady, saying respectfully, "Grandma, I'm sorry I'm late."

"Giselle, come and sit with me. Are you feeling better? You need to take good care of yourself! You have a fever but you don't know come back to rest?!"

At the sight of Giselle, Senior Mrs. Jackson quickly led her to sit together, for she really liked this girl from the bottom of her heart.

After saying that, she glanced at her grandson, who was sitting by the side with an indifferent look, sighing helplessly in her heart.

"There are only two things for you. You can go wherever you want when you're done," Senior Mrs. Jackson held Giselle's hand and said while looking at Carr.

Despite facing the his grandma, Carr still held a poker face and said in a gloomy tone, "If the match is successful, I'll stay here."

In short, he wouldn't stay another day if the match wasn't successful.

"Impossible."

Senior Mrs. Jackson darkened her face and said in an undeniable tone.

"Grandma, three years ago, you insisted that I marry this woman regardless of my wishes. I agreed, but I have told you that we only have a nominal marriage. Besides, we are strangers!"

"It's impossible for me to live with this woman because I won't sleep with her again."

And he would not let his child be born by such a scheming woman.

He had been set up by her once, but he would never let that happen again.

As Carr spoke, he gave Giselle a sinister look.

Giselle's body stiffened when she received his look.

Or Randolph will die.>

After she and Carr had sex on a whim three years ago and she gave birth to Randolph, she decided to treasure Randolph, her beloved baby.

However, she didn't expect that God didn't give that innocent and lovely boy a healthy body. From the time he was born, he had been suffering from liver disease all the time.

But he was very sensible. Every time he felt uncomfortable, he would comfort Giselle and ease her worry.

Although Randolph had been on the liver transplant list for a long time, there was no suitable one for him.

Randolph's condition had worsened on his third birthday a while ago and the doctor said that Randolph's condition would be more severe if there wasn't a suitable liver. The medical treatment couldn't be delayed, or it wouldn't help even if the suitable liver was matched.

So, she could only beg Carr.

Senior Mrs. Jackson sensed Giselle's panic immediately. She gently patted Giselle's hand to reassure her.

"Carr, you are the only grandson for the Jackson family now."

"Three years ago, on the second day of your marriage, you took that woman away from S City. For three years, you never cared about Giselle and her son. Don't you feel guilty?"

"Randolph is your son!"

Senior Mrs. Jackson raised her voice.

Will who was standing by her side bent down and whispered, "Senior Mrs. Jackson, the doctor said you needed to be in a good mood."

Also worrying about Senior Mrs. Jackson's health, Giselle tried to calm her down. "Don't be angry. Take care of yourself."

Senior Mrs. Jackson waved at Will and Giselle to reassure them.

She then continued, "You know that Randolph is seriously ill."

On hearing those words, Giselle felt more depressed. She didn't know what she had done wrong in her previous life, leading God to punish her by imposing great suffering on Randolph.

If possible, Giselle hoped that she could bear all suffering on Randolph's behalf.

"Carr, you come back home after a month. A month! Are you really heartless?"

"Whether you accept it or not, Randolph is your son."

"As Randolph's father, where were you when Giselle spent day and night worrying about Randolph's illness and even fell ill due to a lack of rest?"

"Grandma, I was busy with my work in S city."

Carr puckered his brow and compressed his lips. The cold expression on his good-looking face could terrify others.

"Busy? Were you busy making round-the-world tour plans with your mistress?" Senior Mrs. Jackson's voice turned colder. She looked daggers at Carr.

Senior Mrs. Jackson had been waiting for Carr to enquire about Randolph's condition. However, judging from Carr's reaction, it seemed that he didn't care about Giselle and Randolph at all.

With that thought, Senior Mrs. Jackson was more sympathetic to Giselle next to her.

"First of all, I need you to go to the hospital to check whether your genes can match Randolph's to save him."

Carr raised his eyebrows in acceptance.

"Second, you and Giselle must have another child."

With a frown, Senior Mrs. Jackson went straight to the point.

Carr's face darkened instantly. Narrowing his dark eyes and pinching his lips, he then snarled, "It's impossible for me to have sex with Giselle again."

"It's up to me, Carr. As long as you and Giselle have a healthy child, you can go wherever you want and be with anyone as pleased. I won't interfere in your life anymore."

"I just want Carr to save Randolph." Giselle's eyes were brimmed with tears.

She begged Senior Mrs. Jackson while holding her hand tightly.

Giselle was willing to do anything for Randolph since he meant everything to her.

She couldn't live without Randolph!

"Giselle, I have my concerns. After Carr checks his genes tomorrow, we can know whether he can be the donor. If failed, you must have another baby with Carr."

>

"Grandma..."

Carr was about to speak more when Senior Mrs. Jackson snapped, "I'm tired. I'm going to rest."

"You just came back today and have to do tests in hospital tomorrow. Have an early night."

Senior Mrs. Jackson then rose to her feet and walked upstairs to the bedroom.

After she left, only Carr and Giselle were in the living room.

Carr narrowed his deep eyes and gave Giselle a contemptuous look. "This is your real purpose, isn't it?"
