Chapter 006 Successful Match

Carr and that boy looked very alike. Carr stared at his dark eyes, falling into contemplation.

His soul was called back by that boy's voice.

"Carr, Randolph is calling you dad. Didn't you hear him?" Senior Mrs. Jackson frowned unhappily.

Carr had never heard such a cute voice calling him daddy, which made his brain go blank.

He kept silent. Senior Mrs. Jackson was discontent with his reaction. Just as she was about to speak, a doctor knocked on the door and walked in.

The doctor said to Senior Mrs. Jackson in respect, "Madam, it's ready. Is Mr. Jackson free now?"

Randolph glanced at Carr, then turned to Giselle and said softly, "Mommy, I'm hungry."

Giselle was surprised and delighted.

Since Randolph was hospitalized, he barely ate anything.

So Giselle was unable to control the tears of joy when she heard Randolph ask for food.

"Randolph, wait up. Mommy will buy you food now, okay?" Giselle said excitedly.

Randolph nodded.

After Giselle left, Senior Mrs. Jackson glanced at her grandson, frowned slightly, and said, "Carr, I have something to deal with. Stay here and take care of Randolph for a while."

Then she also left the ward.

Now only the father and son were left in the room.

Randolph maintained an expressionless face and didn't speak a word apart from his introduction.

Perhaps because of the tie between father and son, Carr felt a little uneasy as soon as he saw Randolph.

"Your name is Randolph, right?"

Carr was surprised by his trembling voice.

"My name is Randolph Jackson!"

Although his face was still pale, Randolph maintained good manners and introduced his name as a little gentleman.

However, Carr felt sad because Randolph sounded like he was introducing himself to a stranger.

Once upon a time, Carr's father always showed such an indifferent expression and talked with him in a distant voice.

Carr never thought that he would be treated in the same way by his son.

His narrow eyes flashed with nervousness.

"Thank you." Randolph broke the silence.

Carr didn't know why Randolph suddenly said that.

He managed to calm down and tried to sound gentle. "Why?"

"Anyway, you're back, although it was because of great-grandmother's order. I'm grateful you could come back."

Randolph took a deep look at Carr, turned around, and carefully lay back on the bed with his back to him.

Carr lost his head even if he could remain calm and cold no matter what difficulties he met at work.

Now his heart was entangled with shock, confusion, nervousness, and even a trace of fear.

Carr felt he almost drowned in the complicated emotions and just escaped.

The moment the ward door closed, Randolph, who was lying on the bed, slowly opened his eyes, but those eyes were no longer dull but full of tears that could surge out at any time.

He really liked this man to be his daddy.

But the man didn't like him!

While Giselle was walking towards the ward with the porridge she bought in the canteen in a good mood, she caught a glimpse of Carr who stood behind the french window.

Carr had been standing here ever since he came out of the ward.

He felt uneasy and the call he just received made him flat-footed.

He hadn't had this feeling even making decisions for cooperation cases worth millions of dollars.

However, after meeting the child, he felt a sense of loss. He could not deny that he was really panicking when he looked into the child's eyes.

Giselle looked at him and paused. The scene of the unhappy breakup last night appeared in her mind, stifling her move to talk with him in case of spoiling his mood.

However, things didn't go as she expected.

When she went up the stairs, Carr had already noticed her.

"Giselle!" His cold voice came, making her back stiff.

Almost subconsciously, Giselle turned around and saw the man's cold and handsome face. She met his cold eyes.

He seemed to be enduring anger, which was more terrified than last night.

At this moment, he, in Giselle's eyes, was like a devil from hell, and the atmosphere was suffocated.

Suddenly, Giselle turned around and was urgent to leave. She was so frightened that she subconsciously wanted to run away.

But then, the man's lips compressed into a thin line, and an icy voice came out. "You don't want to save your son?"

When Giselle heard this, she couldn't help but tighten her grip on the thermos box. She had no choice but to turn around, bowing her head.

"Mr. Jackson, I promise you, but can I fulfill the contract after Randolph finishes the operation?"

Now, she just wanted to see Randolph get better. As for other things, she was not in the mood to think about them.

"Oh, listen, you don't have the right to talk about this."

As Carr spoke, he slowly approached Giselle with graceful steps. As he was about to stick to her, he took out a piece of paper with an address from his pocket and gave it to Giselle.

"If I can't see you at eight tonight, all would be canceled!"

With that, Carr turned and walked towards the doctor's office.

At two o'clock in the afternoon, the results of the match came out.

Senior Mrs. Jackson and Giselle were very nervous and worried. They were afraid to see an unmatched result.

"Madam, the test results are out. The match between them is suitable."

"Giselle, that's great. Randolph can get well. Our lovely boy could finally get rid of the illness!" Senior Mrs. Jackson hugged Giselle excitedly and said.

Giselle was also overjoyed.

For some reason, when Carr saw the happy smile on Giselle's face, he didn't feel it as annoying as before.

Perhaps sensing that someone was looking at her, Giselle subconsciously looked up and met that pair of deep and dark eyes.

At a glance, she got his meaning immediately.
