The Player found my Weakness

Chapter One

Chandler's POV
I woke up to my father and mothers face.
From the looks of things I had passed out again. It happened several times while we were packing to move. Before we left for Wyoming we went to the doctor and found out that I have cancer. And as far as all the doctors know, it doesn't look like it's going to end in my favor. I know I sound like one of those sob stories you read about how this girl has the perfect life with many friends, a boyfriend, I also had pretty good grades. Then this hits me. But not only this, I am moving away from the life that I love. My parents and I have fought about this for weeks. I wanted to stay here with my grandparents. I was really close to my my fathers parents. But they wouldn't have it.
"Chandler are you alright?
Do we need to go to the hospital." My mom was fussing over me. I didn't want people to fuss over me. There's no point.
"Mom I'm fine.
It was just the usual black out. I was just working to hard. I'll take it easier." I stood up quickly. I brushed myself off because of course I had to faint out side. We were just finnishing getting everything in the house. Then I had to go and faint. I looked back at them still staring at me with my younger brother and sister. Great I look like a freaking circus act with them staring at me like this. "Ok stop staring at me and get back to what you were doing." I know I probably sounded mean but, I was sick and tired of everyone giving me that pity look. I don't want any of their pity. They quickly turned and went back to what they were doing. I picked up my last box that I had dropped when I went out and headed upstairs to my bedroom. My parents gave me the biggest room on the top floor so they could soften me up for taking me away from Luke.
I opened the door and looked around.
I had book shelves all around. It also had a giant window seat where I could read or just sit and listen to music to get away from everyone. That was the reason I chose this room it was the last door in the hallways and it was tucked into the corner of the house. I put the last box down and started to open my boxes of clothes to put into my closet. Before I knew it I was finishing the last box putting my cd's and dvd's away.
"Chandler there's someone here to see you.
" What? I who would be here to see me. But then I remembered we only lived a few minutes away from my grandparents. I sighed and got up to go down stairs. As I was down the stairs I saw a brown haired blue eyed girl who looked so familiar. I couldn't place where I have seen her before. "Chandler do you remeber Roxi. You used to play with her all the time when we came to visit your grandparents." My eyes widened with the memory.
"Roxi oh my gosh.
" We both ran to eachother and hugged.
"Chandler I haven't seen you for ages how have you been.
" Great she doesn't know about me.
"Well I've been better but, I'm so glad that I actually have a friend here.
"
"I know I heard and I'm so sorry.
But I know you hate it when people pity you so that will not be happening with me." She gave me a little punch in the arm.
"It's about time someone will listen to me and not give me pity.
" We both laughed.
"Well I will let you girls catch up.
" My mom left to go back outside. Obviously looking happier now that I have company.
"Come on up to my room.
I just finished the last of my unpacking.
We went up to my room and caught up.
She told me all about school and all about her friends that would love me. She asked me about my friends and Luke. I also talked to her about my cancer. I asked her not to tell anyone about it. I didn't want anyone to know. She agreed with me and said that we were going to have so much fun. She stayed for dinner and when she left I offered her a ride to school so I wouldn't have to ride by myself. She agreed cause she didn't have a car so her parents would drive her or she would catch the bus. Since my parents tried to by me off they had my grandparents get me a car and surprised me when I got here. My grandpa new I liked Camaro's so he got me that one. My parents weren't to happy about the car and of how new it was but, I knew I loved my grandpa for a reason. He new just how to cheer me up.
I went to bead that night not really wanting for the morning to come.
But who does when they have to go to a new school their senior year. All I know it that it's going to be a long year. With that last thought I drifted to sleep.

"Chandler it's time for school.
" My mom said and shut the door. I sighed and sat up slowly. I was really weak this morning. Crap. First day of school and I have to feel like death warmed up. I got up and put on some shorts and a Rolling stones T-shirt. I went and ran my finger through my wavy blonde hair and put a bit of make up on and looked at myself in the mirror. I didn't look to bad. I actually was looking pretty good compared to what I was feeling. I know what would make me feel a little better though. The leather jacket my friends gave me for my birthday last year. I slipped it on as I slipped on some flats and headed down stairs.
"Morning hun.
Would you like some toast and some juice." She smiled at me. I nodded. I don't know how she can be so cheerful in the morning but, some how she does it every friggin day.
I ate my toast and drank my juice and started heading for the door when the doorbell went off.
I went to the door and it was Roxi. "Hey Roxi. Let me just get my bag and we can go."
"Alright sounds good.
" I turned grabbed my bag and said goodbye to my mother and headed out the door. "Do you know how hot that leather jacket looks on you Chandler." Roxi smiled at me as we got in the car. I laughed a little.
"Thanks, My friends bot it for me last year for my birthday cause they thought it looked good on me.
"
"Well they were totally right.
I wish I had one like that." We laughed and listened to the music til we got to the school. As I pulled up every eye turned to my black camaro. Great! All the attention is on me. "Don't worry Chandler. It won't be as bad as she think it will." Yeah right I said to myself.
We both got out and I started to look around at all the people staring.
I have to admit a lot of the guys here good looking. No scratch that they were friggin hot. I came around the car and Roxi started to lead me into the school. There were wolf whistles the hole time we walked up the stairs to the building.
"You'd think they never saw a hot girl before.
" Roxi said shaking her head.
"Come on Roxi I know I'm not that hot.
They are probably looking at you." She smiled at me widely.
"Yeah right, Don't get me wrong I get some looks from the guys but, you my friend.
You are going to have to beat these guys off with a stick." We both laughed and we went into the building. She took me to the office and got my timetable and my locker number. Luckily my mom had made it so I had all of my classes with Roxi. It's a good think she was a smarty pants like me and was in all of the advanced classes. We went and put our things in our lockers and headed to our first period AP English. We walked in I introduced myself to the teacher. Who actually looked like one of those sweet old ladies that lived next door but, you know they could totally rip you a new one if you got out of line. I sat down next to Roxi and we talked with eachother as the class started to fill in.
"Alright class lets get started.
But I would like to introduce a new student in our class today." Just then someone opened the door. My eyes met the hottest living creature I have ever layed eyes on. He had brown hair the had a slight wave in it. He had a the beggings of a beard coming on. He had toned built muscles. Obviously had a six pack that was noticable through his tight white shirt with his dark blue jeans. Yeah he was a freaking stud. I looked back up at his eyes and met the bluest eyes I have ever seen. I quickly looked away. I knew his type. Huge player. He was one of the ones that knows he's hot and will probably tell you. I saw all the girls starting to get gitty when they saw him. I rolled my eyes. I don't have time to gawk at this hottie. I still had my feelings for Luke. We broke up cause I didn't want him to have to waite for me while I was here and because of the hole cancer thing. I shook my head and looked back at the teacher.
"Well well Clayton, It's so nice of you to join us.
" The teacher gave him a raised eyebrow. He looked at her and smiled as he came to sit in the back on the otherside of the room. He sat down and she stared at him for a while.
"Oh please proceed Mrs.
White." He waved his and smiled at her. She shook her head at him and looked over to the rest of the class. From the corner of my eye I could see him staring at me with a smirk. Oh great I'm in the freaking sights of the Player. Guess what buddy ain't gonna happen.
"Well, as I was saying before I was interrupted.
We have a new student from Utah with us. Chandler please introduce yourself." I sighed and stood up.
"I'm Chandler Lindly not much to tell about myself.
" I shrugged at sat back down.
"She's off limits to guys.
" Roxi annouced to the class. I noticed that she made a quick glance at Mr Player in the corner. Who just smirked.
"Well, Thank you for that knowledge Roxi.
Anyways Welcome Chandler and I hope you have a good rest of the day." I touched Roxi's arm and gave her a what was that about look. She shook her head and looked back forward.
We just got the new project when the bell rang.
Everyone stood up and packed up. I was walking towards the door when I hit something hard. I looked up at met the blue eyes that I didn't want to be looking at right now.
"Hello there.
" Did he have to have a sexy voice. Agh shut up Chandler don't even try.
"Would you move?
I'm trying to get to class." I said and gave him an annoyed look. From the grin on his face I obviously have him a challenge.
"Ooo somebody's feisty.
" He placed his hand on my arm. I quickly swatted his hand away.
"Seriously, Get away from me and don't touch me again.
" I shoved passed him leaving him standing there with wide eyes.
"Holy crap Chandler.
I don't think I've seen someone turn Clayton down that fast. You got skill." She hooked her arm through mine.
"I really hate guys like that.
Thinking they own the place and that they can do what ever they want. I will not be pawed at by a freaking player." She started to giggle as we headed to our next class.
