Chandler's POV
"Well, I guess we should go and check on your brother and sister." We're still in the water. We've just been here talking for an hour.
"I'm really not in the mood to go back and see Luke." I threw my head back and groaned. He chuckled.
"You were the one that wanted me to start being nicer to him." I brought my head back up and looked at him.
"That doesn't mean I have to be nice to him." He snorted.
"If your not going to be nice to him, then I'm not." He raised his eyebrows.
"Well, he's gotta work for me to be nice to him. I'm not letting him off that easy." He turned and started walking towards the shore.
"Good, cause I would be a little disappointed if you let him off easy."
"A little."
"Okay a lot. I would actually be pissed." I laughed a little.
"You don't have to worry about that. If you want to make him mad at you I know what you can do." I pulled myself closer to him and tightened my legs around his waist as we left the water. His eyebrow raised.
"What would that be?" I got a mischevous grin on my face. "I can tell you got something planned." He chuckled.
"Well he has a crush on me right." Ooo this will be good.
"Yes. Why?"
"Well, what would make you mad if you saw a guy doing something to me." He stiffened a little.
"Oh your evil." I bit my lip.
"Hey this is payback baby. No one messes with me and gets away with it." His eyes widened.
"Remind me never to cross you." We both laughed as he put me down. "So what's the plan." He started to pack up as I got my cloths on.
"Well, just feel free to get a little more physical." His head popped up and looked at me with a huge grin.
"You don't have to tell me twice." I laughed as he stood up. "I'm gonna like this."
"I never said there wasn't going to be a benefit for you." I kissed his cheek and grabbed my bag.
"Scratch the like this. I'm gonna love this. Pissin Luke of is just a bonus." I laughed shook my head.
"Ok are you gonna shift again?"
"Yep, Just turn around and I'll shift." This will be interesting. I turned and I heard him take his cloths off. Then I started to heard the sickest sound ever. It was bones snapping and shifting into different places. It made a shiver go down my spine. I felt a fury nudge on my hand and turned around.
"Do you know how gross that sounded." He let out a wolfy laugh. I picked up his cloths and shoved it into my bag and got the other bag and put that over my shoulder. "Alright I'm ready my noble stead." He shook his head at me and I laughed. He bent down and I got on his back and as soon as I got a good hold on him he took off. It felt like in no time we were back at the lake. He walked out of the woods and we saw everyone on the beach. He walked to his parents where my siblings are also seated with Suzie. Nelly turned and looked at Clay and her eyes went wide.
"Don't worry Nelly it's only Clayton." He bent down and let me down. "He's a big old softy." He rolled his eyes and his parents laughed. I got in my bag and got his cloths and he grabbed them with his mouth. He ran back into the trees and shifted. I looked back at Nelly who was speechless. "Are you good there Nelly. I know the first time you see him it's a little intimadating."
"Yeah a little bit." I felt the bag on my left arm be lifted from me and I turned to meet Clay.
"Sorry I scared you there Nelly." She shook your head.
"It's ok I just need to get used to it." He chuckled.
"So have you guys had fun. I hope they haven't been any trouble for you." I turned to Clay's parents.
"Oh nonsense, they've been having lots of fun. You've got a good family there Chandler." His dad said as he stood up and started to collect the towels that were on the ground.
"Thank you Robert. I think they're pretty good."
"Well, Should we go back to the house. I'm gonna cook dinner and I've invited your parents up here." Karen turned to us and smiled.
"Oh that would be great thanks Karen." I felt Clay nudge me and I looked up at him. He gave me a smile and nodded his head over to my brother. I turned to look at him and him and Suzie were talking and laughing. They look so cute.
"Hey guys we're going back to the house so if you want to come, come now!" Robert yelled over to everyone else that was on the other side of the lake. I looked over and saw all of them looking in our direction. They all started to walk as Luke was in the front. I turned to look at Clayton and he was already smiling.
"Can I have a piggy back ride back to the house." He chuckled a little.
"I'd love to." I giggled as he turned and I jumped on my back.
"Oh Robert why don't you do that for me anymore." Clayton turned us to see his mom.
"Cause I'm not as young as I used to be." Both me and Clay laughed as gave her a kiss on the cheek. Danny picked Suzie up and we started heading towards the trees. Roxi came running to our side with Zack.
"Do you know how cute you guys look together." Roxi said looking at the both of us.
"I like to think so. Oh by the way Roxi thanks for telling me your a freaking werewolf." She giggled a little.
"Well, sorry it's not something that comes up in everyday conversation."
"Yeah I guess not. Oh well I know now so I won't be kept out of your secrets now."
"Finally!" Zack said. "Sorry but, do you know how hard it's been not to talk about this stuff." Both me and Clay laughed.
"Sorry Zack. Now you can talk about it all you want." I could feel a pair of eyes on my back. I leaned into Clay's ear and whispered. "You know if looks could kill. We would both be dead." He turned his head and looked at me with a smile. I leaned in again and kissed his cheek.
"You look tired do you need some rest?" There he goes worrying again.
"I'll rest later. I want to help your mom with dinner."
"Ok well, if you start looking to tired I'm taking you away from the kitchen." He said as we got out of the trees and headed to the house.
"Yes master." We got to the stairs and he put me down and grabbed my hand and we walked up.
"Ok I'm gonna start dinner." Karen said as she went into the kitchen.
"I want to go change before I help your mom." Clay smiled and swooped me up with a squeal from me.
"I'll help you up the stairs." I rolled my eyes and shook my head.
"Good cause I don't think I could have walked that far." He laughed. And carried my up the stairs to his room. He sat me down and I went in the bathroom and shut the door. I quickly got dressed and fixed my hair a bit. I walked out and saw Clay laying on his bed. I got on and straddled him with my arms on each side of his head.
"Fallen asleep on me already are you?" His eyes opened and his smiled.
"Took you long enough." I snorted at that.
"Well sorry I don't have your werewolf speed to get dressed." I leaned down and gave him a kiss.
"Your forgiven."
"So I only have to kiss you to be forgiven do I." I started to kiss down his jaw line and his neck. He gulped and I smiled against his neck.
"As you can already see yes." I laughed and sat up.
"That was just way to easy." He sat up and wrapped his arms around my waist and I put my hands on his shoulders.
"You could probably get me to do anything with one of your kisses." He leaned forward and brushed his lips across mine.
"Careful what you say I might use that to my advantage." I closed the distance and tangled my hands in his hair. He moaned a little and licked my bottom lip. I opened my mouth and his tongue wondered my mouth. A little moan left my mouth as his lips captured my lower lip and he pulled away breathless. We put our forheads together as we tried to catch our breath. Then the door swung open and Luke came walking in. We turned our heads and looked at him.
"Can we help you?" Clay said.
"Can I talk to Chandler?" I'm not talking to you alone.
"You can talk to me infront of Clay Luke." I said as I leaned back. He looked between us and rolled his eyes.
"Fine, Look I just wanted to say I'm sorry for doing that Chandler. I shouldn't have done that. You trusted me and I let you down. I don't want you not to trust me."
"Luke, I will never trust you with something like that again. You hurt me. Luckily Clay was there for me to pick up the pieces. I needed someone to be there for me and you weren't. You were so mad that I was with your brother and you took it out on me. You two need to get what ever is going on between the both of you figured out. I love your brother Luke and I want him to have a relationship with his brother. And if you can't do that for him because of me. Then we will never be friends. He changing and you need to change to."
"He's not changing your just blinded by his charm." I looked down and shook my head.
"Then that is why we will never be friends."
"Chandler, you have to give me a chance. Don't just give into him."
"Luke, I don't like you like that. I'm his mate. I love him and he's saving my life with being with me. I will never be able to repay him for that." Clay wrapped his arm around my waist.
"So that's the only reason why your staying with him." How could he say that. I stood up and walked over to him.
"Don't you ever think that I don't love your brother. He is the one of the greatest people I have ever met in my life. At least he's honest with himself and admits when he's wrong. And no that is not the only reason why I'm staying with him. He is one of the kindest people I have met. He actually listens and doesn't try to hurt me Luke." I turned to look at Clay. He gave me a little smile. "Let's go. He's never going to listen." He nodded and stood up. He walked over to me and grabbed my hand.
"I'm sorry Chandler. To the both of you." We both turned and looked at him with his head down. We looked at eachother and walked out. As we were walking down the hall we heard Luke walk out. "Why weren't you ever there for me Clayton!" We turned around and Luke had tears running down his face.
"What are you talking about Luke." Clay let go of my hand and took a step forward.
"When Suzie got sick. You never asked me how I was dealing with it. You only asked mom and dad how they felt. I was crushed when I found out that my little sister was going to die. I was left alone."
"Luke I tried to talk to you but, you wouldn't talk to me."
"You didn't try hard enough. I just wanted someone there for me!" I felt the tears running down my eyes. I felt a hand touch my shoulder and I turned to see Karen with tears in her eyes. She looked down at me and smiled a little.
"I'm sorry Luke. I should have tried harder. I never wanted you to feel like that. I just thought that was the way you were taking it. You have to start to talk to me Luke. Stop bottling it up inside." He started to step closer to Luke until he was a couple feet from him.
"I can't hold it in anymore!" Clay pulled him into a hug and Luke wrapped his arms around him and started to sob. Luke's legs got weak and Clay held him up. I still had silent tears running down. I lifted my hand and put it on Karen's that was still on my shoulder.
"I think I'm just gonna go down stairs." Clay turned their bodies and looked at me. He had silent tears running down his face. I hate seeing him cry. It's one of the saddest things you could watch. He nodded to me.
"I'll come with you hun." Karen wrapped her arm around me and we turned and headed downstairs. As we got into the kitchen Karen asked me a question.
"What happened up there to have Luke break down like that." I felt bad.
"I'm so sorry but, I started to yell at him."
"Why were you yelling at him?"
"He said the only reason why I loved Clay is cause he was saving my life. Then I got up and told him that he was one of the greatest and kindest people I have ever met. I couldn't imagine my life with out him. I also told him that him and Clay need to get whatever is going on between the two fo them. Then we both walked out of the room and then Luke started to yell at Clay."
"Honey you do not have to be sorry about that. He shouldn't have said that. But thank you for getting Luke to actually say something."
"I really don't think it was me who did it."
"No, It was. He finally realized that you really do love Clay. At first he didn't beliebe Clay, when he said you were his mate. That's why he got defensive. I guess he just realized. I will never be able to repay you for what you did for those two. I never thought that they would get along ever again."
"Your welcome. I just really don't think it's me who did it."
"Think what you may sweetheart. Anyways I have to continue on with dinner."
"I'll help you." She got everything ready and I started to help her cook.
