Clayton's POV
"You know I probably have a butt load of home work to catch up on. I'm so not looking forward to making all that up." She threw her head back and sighed. I chuckled at her and she looked at me. "It's not funny. Three weeks is a lot of homework to make up."
"Trust me you don't have to worry about any of it." She looked up at him with one eyebrow raised at me.
"It's school Clayton, of course I have to worry about it. What are you even thinking? I don't want to fail." She stopped walking and just stared at me. After we had gotten dressed we had decided to go for a walk out in the woods behind the pack house. We decided to just spend some time by ourselves.
"Chandler, your the future alpha female of this pack. If you miss a few weeks of homework you don't need to worry about any of it." I looked at her like she was acting silly.
"If you think just because we are going to be the alpha's, that we can just get a free ride your wrong mister. All that homework is going to be finished and turned in. Not one paper left behind. We aren't letting people think we're just lazy and think we don't need to do anything." I could not believe what she was saying. I've never made up homework before while I had missed school.
"Chandler don't be-" she cut me off before I could finish.
"Clayton I'm not going to say it again. We're making up the homework and that's final." She gave me a stern look and I couldn't help but fall even more in love with her as she walked away from me. I've never had someone tell me what I was going to do and I actually was going to follow through with it. I just stood there smiling like an idiot and watched her as she kept walking through the trees. I closed my eyes and just sat there thinking about how my life will be with this amazing girl. Getting married and having kids. Oh to have a little girl that looks exactly like her mother. I can't wait to have kids with her. Hey practcing making them won't be to bad either.
I opened my eyes and was met by Chandler's smirk. She had her arms crossed over her chest and was leaning against a tree. 
"Your such a pervert." She laughed. Ahhh man she probably heard all of that. "Yeah I did. The first part was sweet though." She said with a smile. I walked towards her and she stepped back into the tree as I brought my hand to the side of her head.  
"It's true, I really hope our little girl looks like you." I leaned forward and gave her a slow kiss. 
"Well I hope we have a little boy that looks exactly like his daddy." She said as she threaded her hands through my hair. Our eyes didn't move from each others. She pulled me towards her and our lips met. She lightly nipped at my bottom lip and I grabbed her waist to lift her up. She wrapped her legs around my hips and moaned a little as I pushed her against the tree. We parted lips and I began to trail light kisses down her jawline until I reached my mark on her neck. I lightly bit it again and her hips bucked against mine as a moan left her lips. I pulled back and looked into her glowing eyes and smiled. I love being able to make her eyes glow. 
"Your going to be the death of me woman." She laughed and shook her head at me. Before she could respond her eyes flicked behind. 
"This is just to cute." The sound of his voice made my skin crawl. Chandler let her legs go around me and I turned to face him keeping her behind me. 
"What do you want Luke?" I said angrily. 
"Like I said in my letter. I've come for what's mine." He smiled at me and Chandler's grip became tighter on my hand.  
"She isn't yours and if you say it again I'll rip your thoat out." I took a step forward and Chandler came with me. She stepped out from behind me and came to my side. 
"Luke stop this. Why do you have this sudden interest in me?" That's a very good question. 
"I want to take from him what he took from me." Both Chandler and I looked at each other. 
"Well first of all she was never with you when we met. Second she isn't your mate. So I've never taken yours away from you." I wrapped my arms around Chandler and held her close to me. 
"If it weren't for you I would have my mate. You took her away from me." 
"Chandler isn-" He cut me off before I could speak.
"Not Chandler, Tracy!" My eyebrows shot up. 
"I went out with her once. I never stole her from you." 
"Then why is she so infatuated with you? She never even gave me a chance." 
"Luke I  can't control her. I just went on one date with her. I've never promised her anything. If you have a problem you need to take it up with her not me." He shook his head at me.
"She told me she didn't want me two years ago because she wanted someone else. When I found out it was you it pissed me off even further. I've never liked you cause you've gotten everthing handed to you your whole life. When I met Chandler I actually thought I'd be able to be happy. When she moved I was a little torn. But I come here and find out she's the mate of the man who ruined my happieness. I'm not going to let that happen." He gave us both a deadly look. 
I decided I better let my father know what's going on. I sent him a message and I told him to bring Tracy. We were going to figure this out so I could actually be with my mate and not have to worry about this idiot. 
 "Why would you want to ruin my happiness then Luke?" I looked down at Chandler as she stepped infront of me. "I did nothing to you. As I recall the reason why we broke up is because you cheated on me. I've never done anything to hurt you. Why would you want to hurt me like this?" He glared over.
"Because your just like him. You were always to good. Well I guess your lucky streak has ended now. I mean you your mate's Clayton, 
you can't really sink past that." Ummm excuse me low blow. I was about to respond but Chandler stepped in front of me. 
"You say another cutting remark about my mate and I'll rip your head of your tiny little body got it." my eyebrows shot up at her. Gosh that was a freaking turn on. Stop thinking like that, this isn't the time.
"I take it he's marked you. Oh being a part will be a lot more painful for you now." He smiled and on an impulse I reached for her and held on.
"You'll never take her while i'm still alive."
"We're just going to have to change that won't we." He lunged at me shifting in the air. I threw Chandler to the side before he collided into me. I shifted as we rolled on the ground.
"Clayton!" My head flipped to her direction and saw that two of Luke's pack members were holding on to her. I stood and ran towards her but was cut off by Luke. We both stopped and stared at each other. I could see Chandler struggling from the corner of my eye and it infuriated me. Two men against one woman. Yeah that's fair. A low growl came from my chest and I lunged at Luke.
Chandler's POV
I watched as Clayton jumped on top of Luke and they both tumbled to the ground. Clayton bit his neck and Luke tried to squirm from his grip. He bit down harder until I could see blood running down Luke's fur and he let out a whine. Clayton loosened his jaw and lifted his head with a growl. Clay stood all the way up and began to walk towards where I was with these two idiots holding on to me.
'Clay are you alright?' I said with our mind link.
'I'm fine babe what about you?' He came closer and their grips on me loosened and they stepped away from me.
'Better now I know your ok.' I smiled at him but it fell when I saw Luke behind him. He lunged and before he could hit Clayton I shoved him with all my strength out of the way. Luke hit my body and I was flung back and hit my head on something hard. 
Clayton's POV
Her eyes widened and before I could tell why she shoved me to the side. I hit the ground and when I looked back up at her I saw Luke smash into her throwing her body into a tree. When she hit my body cringed and she fell to the ground and went limp.
My blood boiled when I saw her blood slowly run down her head. I stood and ran towards Luke. I bit his back leg and threw him away from her. I heard a lound smack against a tree and I turned back towards Chandler. I shifted back and ran to her side.
"Chandler please answer me! Please!" Her eyes gently fluttered open and looked up at me. I sighed in relief. "Don't you ever do that again! You could have died and I would have never been able to go on without-" She cut me off with putting her hand on my lips.
"Please not so loud and I'm sorry. I just didn't want you to get hurt." She gave me a sad look and I felt like an idiot for yelling at her. I pulled her into my chest and hugged her tightly. 
"Please if your going to save me ever again. Jump at me next time so your out of the line of fire." She let out a little laugh
"I'll remember that for next time." I rubbed my thumb over her cheek and stared into her eyes. My eyes shifted up when I heard running and my father, Luke my brother and Anthony came through the trees.
"Son are you alright?" I nodded and looked back at Chandler. "Here son put these on." My dad threw me a pair of shorts and they landed next to me. I shifted Chandler to the side and stood up and put them on. I looked back at Chandler and she was bright red. whoops I forgot she hadn't seen me completely naked. Well that ship has sailed now, oh well it was bound to happen sooner or later. Hopefully its the same with seeing her. A soft smack hit my arm and I looked at Chandler who had her eyebrow raised at me. I sheepishly smiled at her. 
"Are you alright? Here I'll carry you I don't want you too faint." I lifted her up and she rolled her eyes at me.
"More like you wanted an excuse to carry me." we both laughed and turned towards the direction mt dad and the others were. They were standing over Luke's body. "Is he dead?" 
"Nope he'll just be out for a little while. Looks like he took a pretty good hit to the head." My dad said examining Luke's head. "Clayton take her back to the house and get her taken care of. We'll grab the idiot and bring him back for a talk." I nodded and started to make my way back to the house with Chandler in my arms. Man this day did not go as I had planned.
