I walked into the office near my department and took the clip board from the desk in front of me as Judith sat down in the chair at the desk. She smirked at me then she placed her elbows on the desk with her head in her hands. Linda came in from behind me and sat down on the desk with her head tilted. They wanted to know what was going on like always. I didn't know myself so I just glared at them and turned around as Linda tapped my thigh with her leg. I stuck out my tongue at them and took a pen from the cup on the desk, turning and quickly walking out the room as I heard them stand up. I walked around the plant looking for anything out the ordinary as our supervisor walked around with a large group of new employees, including Peter. I walked past them as I saw an employee trying to lift a pallet from the ground. I placed my clipboard on a small table beside their line and tapped the employ on the shoulder. I smiled at her and walked to the other side of the pallet, helping her stand it up, lifted it placing it up of a pile of pallets. When I arrived at the packing line, I turned and to my surprise, a complete stranger,The employee smiled at me as I walked away taking my clip board making sure that everything was in working order. Once I entered the packing line I felt a hand touch my shoulder and I turned to see a complete stranger.

"Yes, May I help you?"

"Yeah, I'm with the new hires and I kind of lost them when I got distracted watching the man and women pack."

I smiled at him and pointed him in the direction, I had just came from. He smiled back and walked off. I looked down passed my clipboard and there was trash on the floor so I reached for it and continued on my way. As I turned to check the stability of a pile of pallets,I felt another hand on my shoulder.

"I promise the group of..."

Once I turned I smiled and hugged my clipboard at the sight of Bruce standing in front of me smiling.

"I think you have me confused little lady in fact I just wanted to say Hi."

"Hi B.B"

We both started laughing as I then turned to my paper and looked to my next location. He just walked beside me in silence with a big smile on his face and his hands on his back.

"May I help you with something I saw how you helped my co-worker with the pallet."

I looked at him with a smile and nodded handing him my clip-board.

"You can help me fill this out so I can go to my break faster, only if you don't have work today to do?"

"In fact my little lady I do not, they sent us home since I so happen to be one of the workers that work on the line that's down today."

"Ah."

"Yeah, I asked if I could stay I mean I need the money and I want to see you."

I looked back and smiled at him and continued to walk forward into the next department as he followed close behind. I heard him click on the clipboard with the pen. I smiled and looked down as I saw his shadow connect to mine.

"Pay attention to what's in front of you please you'll get hurt."

He began to fall behind me so I stopped and looked back and waited for him to catch up. He smiled as he let out a breath and my heart sunk as I took a deep breath.

"What made you want to help me do what I do?"

"Just to see, since I heard that you say its easy."

I nodded then turned to fall to the center of the room. There I saw a pallet on the floor with a broken piece of wood. I kneeled down slightly to check if it was just that part or more of the pallet was broken that was broken if so, get someone to throw it out. I stood up patting my thighs dusting the dust that had gotten on my pants off. I looked at him as he looked ready to write something down, so I flipped threw the paperwork and found the one for broken Items.

"Use this one, go under pallets and pick broken one so they dump it in the trash dumpster."

He did what I said as I looked at him and he at the paper. I took a piece of Scotch masking tape from my pocket and placed it over the paper. I then placed the paper over the pallet and took my walkie talky up to my mouth and called a forklift driver to come get it. I looked at him with a smile as he looked around the department floor.

"Why isn't anyone here? Normally there would be?"

"Ah we don't get any ingredients on Mondays they all arrive on Thursday and Friday."

"Ah okay what else is there?"

"Nothing much that's it just make sure everything is in safe conditions and that the product we pack isn't filled with anything harmful for any of our customers."

He just smiled and nodded.

"You seem bored."

"I' am and you seem bored too."

"I' am."

He smiled and walked next to me as we continued checking the rooms around the plant.

"So, are you dating anyone?"

"No."

"Do you have anyone that your interested in?"

"Well I know someone that grabs my attention but would you believe that he's younger than me."

"Really?"

"Yeah, I don't know, everyone says its okay but they still throw his age at me. I don't know how he feels."

"Maybe, you should ask him to see."

"Okay."

I turned around and looked at him as he stopped and looked down at me.

"I think I like you but I'm still trying to get to know you as a person, before I said anything. But since you asked, How do you feel about all that?"

"Ah well I like this girl I've liked for some time but I never had a reason to talk to her or say anything I though I could see it as friendship. I now know how she feels and I would also like to tell her that I also want to get to know her as a person and see if I truly like her too. I would also like to tell her again that I have no problems with an age gap at all since I like her anyway."

I turned red as I saw his face mirror my own turning a whole shade of red. We just laughed and smiled at one another as I heard someone call my name on the walkie talkie.

"Yes this is Donna."

"Can you please come to the office please."

I looked at him and smiled as we turned around to the other direction and started walking. I took the walkie talkie up to my face again.

"I'm on my way."

As we got closer to the packing lines, we could see everyone making a circle.

"The job fair was a success and I'm happy to announce that we have no more positions open. We are on stock and we have received many orders through mail...…….. "

We all clapped happily as he danced around and moved his hands telling us to scudder. I looked at Bruce as he looked at me still holding the clip board and smiled. I looked up at the clock and could see that It was now one in the afternoon. This meeting took a bit I guess we'll be getting off early today.

"I thought you worked my shift."

"What do you mean?"

"I normally work second shift and I see you all the time and I just noticed."

"I do; remember due to the job fair and all the paperwork, they decided that first shift wasn't going to work today and that second shift would work first due to third shift not working. That's why they are doing the walk through in the morning. And I'm sure you feel like this for the same reason I do."

"... and that is?"

"Sleep deprived."

He just nodded as we walked back to the office and I placed the clipboard in the desk. Then he just waved his hand good bye and left before I did so that he could greet Judith and Linda as they walked by the office.
