I love you in more ways than you know.

Kyle's words keep repeating themselves in my head. I know he cares deeply about me, we've exchanged i love yous more times than i can remember. But this time, this seems different. The way he said it, the way he looked at me when the words fell off his lips, i can't describe it. I'm probably just reading too much into it but i just have a weird feeling that i can't describe.

I groan out loudly when i accidentally spill hot coffee on my hand. I need to start paying attention or I'll be making a third redo for the pretty redhead continuously taping her legs under the stool obviously wondering what's taking so long to get her order.

"Lexa? "

"Yeah " i respond to the blonde holding a tray of fries and cheese burger at me with a sweet smile on his face.

"Thanks Benji " Benjamin is also my fellow coworker, he's twenty-one and has a sweet easy going aura around him that makes it easy for anyone to love him at first glance.

I place the coffee on the tray and carry it over to the redhead sitting alone at one of the corner tables on my booth with her gaze locked on her phone.

"Anything else you'd like? "i ask politely.

"No, thank you " she gives me a warm smile which i return and head back behind the counter.

During Kyle and i's little escape this morning, just after he had altered those words that i can't seem to get out of my mind, he had pushed us both down the cliff.

I was scared for my life, holding on tightly to him in a fierce grip, screaming at the top of my lungs. I honestly thought i was going to die, no joke.

And the idiot was actually laughing while i tried to pick up the rhythm of my heart. All my clothes where soaking wet.

"What the hell Kyle! "i yelled "i could have died "

"But you didn't "he grins widely.

"You can't do reckless and impulsive things like that! Especially not without asking me Kyle! "i was externally fuming. Meanwhile i was excited by the thrilling danger on the inside.

"Okay, okay! I'm sorry. "he chuckled lightly and swam closer to me, holding me closer to him "forgive me?"

When he looks at me with those eyes, those beautiful pair of hazels, there's no way i can say no to him. And he knew. the teasing gleam in his eyes said it all.

I sighed "look now you got me wet everywhere "

"Oh? " he's eyes traveled lower into the water searching for certainty.

I smacked the back of his head chuckling lightly and my cheeks blazing besides the cold water. "not like that pervert "

"Are you sure? "he wiggled his eyebrows causing a faint giggle out of me.

"I hate you " i try to swim away but he pulled my back to his front refusing to let me go. He's usually mostly touchy around me so i don't mind how tightly his hugging me.

"No you love me "

"Don't dwell too much on it "

"Noted "

I smiled cuddling up closer to him and he buries his nose between my neck "you smell like me "

"I used your shampoo, and soap and lotion and God it smells like heaven"

"Don't "he warned.

I grin already knowing what he's referring to but decide to play dumb "don't what? "

"I told you that shit was fucking expensive lex, don't tell me you finished it! " he groans.

"Cool down square pants. I'm not some lotion extinguisher" i chuckled "although i might have used up... Well, a lot is not the right word. "

He groans "i would kill you, but then I'll probably die too afterwards "

"Awe " i turn so I'm facing him with an innocent gleem in my eyes "someone can't do without me huh? "

"Shut up "

I laugh. Using the opportunity of his loose hands to break free and run for it, splashing a ton of water on him.

"That's it! You're on tiger "

He chased after me, both of us battling with the spring water. We spent the rest of the time playing, laughing and teasing each other none stop until i was already running a few minutes late for work and had to go back to Kyle's to get myself a change over.

But lucky for me Benjamin is just the sweetest guy he is and stayed an extra forty minutes to cover for me when he didn't have to.

"You can go home now Benj, I'll take it from here. Thanks for covering for me, i owe you one "

"No, no, not at all "he sends me another of his gentle smiles "it's fine. And besides, i needed the extra tips anyway "

I know he's probably just saying that, but i don't question it. I just return his smile. "thank you "

"Like i said, it's fine. "he grabs his bag. "see you tomorrow lexa "

I spend the next few hours working and catching up with Sharon. She's an amazing, funny and witty middle aged woman who has always treated me like her own daughter.

By the time I'm about to rap things up and take my leave, I've already extended my shift more than usual, i see something that takes me a bit by surprise.

The unmistakable locks of platinum hair and red highlights sitting cross legged at the other end of the dinner with the fake blonde boy I'm meant to be lecturing.

Their both laughing and sipping off their straws of milk shakes while his hand constantly move to touch her arms, thighs and anything he can reach every now and then, and she lets him.

Well, this is interesting.
