Jiang Jing thought for a moment and then said, "Manager Fan, I'm really sorry. I can understand you, but I really don't want to take the car you arranged. How about this? Can you get a taxi for me?"

Manager Fan was speechless. It was the first time he had encountered such a situation. Not only did she refuse to get in a nice car, but she also required to take a taxi. Manager Fan couldn't believe he heard that from Mrs. Fu.

But since Mrs. Fu required so, he had no choice but to nod his head, "Okay, wait a minute. I'll call you a taxi."

Ten minutes later, Jiang Jing got into a taxi. When the taxi driver heard about her destination, he could not help but look at her in the rearview mirror. Generally, few people would take a taxi to such a luxurious residential area. After all, people who went there owned countless luxurious cars!

When Jiang Jing got home, she didn't take out the key in her bag. Instead, she politely pressed the doorbell like a visitor. When the housekeeper heard the doorbell, he came out and opened the door.

"Madam is back." The housekeeper knew from Fu Jinrong's expression that they must have argued. However, as an experienced housekeeper, he chose not to ask about his master's personal affairs. Therefore, he did not come forward to comfort Fu Jinrong. Instead, he merely opened the door for Jiang Jing.

"Do you want something to drink, madam? I'll get someone to prepare it." As soon as she entered the lobby of the villa, Jiang Jing saw Fu Jinrong sitting on the sofa. In a trance, she wasn't listening to the housekeeper.

The housekeeper knew that Jiang Jing had always been a very polite person and that she would never ignore others' questions. But today, it seemed that she didn't hear him.

"Ma' am? Ma' am?" The housekeeper shouted twice before Jiang Jing realized it. She glanced at Fu Jinrong from the corner of her eye and answered the housekeeper.

"Ah? What do I want to drink? Just give me a cup of tea, jasmine tea." Jiang Jing's tongue still had the aftertaste of the jasmine tea she had just drunk in the dining room. She missed the fresh and elegant taste.

The housekeeper was a little surprised. When Fu Jinrong came back just now, he also said he wanted jasmine tea. Why did the two of them like the same thing even though they were sulking at each other? How interesting!

Although the butler thought so, he would never speak it out. He just nodded, "Yes, madam, please wait."

Jiang Jing didn't want to stay in the living room anymore, especially when she thought that she had to stay with Fu Jinrong in the living room. She felt that she couldn't stand it.

"I'll go to my room first. You can send the tea to my room, please." With that, Jiang Jing climbed the stairs.

The housekeeper looked at Jiang Jing's back and then at Fu Jinrong, who had been sitting on the sofa, and shook his head.

After the housekeeper and Jiang Jing left, Fu Jinrong put the financial magazine in his hand on the coffee table. He hadn't read a word since Jiang Jing rang the doorbell.

He didn't know what was wrong with him, or why he was so angry with Jiang Jing.

He was mad that Jiang Jing said she didn't like the red date and lotus seed soup he ordered for her. More importantly, Jiang Jing's attitude towards Jiang Ru's return made it difficult for him to accept.

But why did Jiang Jing suddenly have such a bad attitude? The two of them were fine when he walked out of the box. What happened?

Fu Jinrong knew Jiang Jing too well. She was not a girl with a temper like Jiang Ru. She wouldn't say that she didn't like the soup he ordered for her without a reason. There must be some reason why she was like that. Something must have touched Jiang Jing's bottom line.

What was the reason?

Fu Jinrong turned his eyes to his phone. He thought to himself, did Jiang Jing see this afternoon's e-mail?

Fu Jinrong shook his head helplessly. He didn't know whether Jiang Jing had seen the email or not. Even if she did, he didn't know what to do. After all, he did have Su Muzhi investigated privately, which was the fact.

"Young master, madam's jasmine tea is ready. Would you like to serve it?" The butler asked tentatively. He did not want to see the couple quarreling over some minor matters.

"No, you can send it up to her. I still have something to do. I'm going out first, so I won't be back for dinner tonight." Fu Jinrong got up and walked out the door. In fact, he had nothing important to do this afternoon, but when he thought that the two of them were still sulking at each other, he didn't want to stay at home anymore.

It's good to go out. There would be more space for them to calm down.

Jiang Jing, who had just returned to her room, was on the phone with her mother. Mother of Jiang called Jiang Jing dozens of times in a row. Since Jiang Jing kept her phone in her bag, she didn't hear it. She only saw her mother's missed call when she went back to her room to charge the phone.

Her father had just died this morning. And her mother had suddenly called him so many times. Jiang Jing felt very anxious. She quickly called her mother.

"Mom, what's wrong?" Fortunately, her mother's phone was picked up after only two rings. It seemed that her mother must have been waiting for her call.

"Jing, I want to ask you a favor." Her mother choked out.

Jiang Jing frowned. How could mom say that? Of course, she was willing to do anything for her mom.

"Mom, what's wrong? Tell me."

Mother Jiang paused for a moment and finally said, "You must find a way to get me to attend your father's funeral. I want to see him for the last time no matter what."

"Mom, why did you say that? You are definitely allowed to go to dad's funeral. You're dad's wife!" Jiang Jing felt extremely incomprehensible. She did not understand why her mother had such a request.

Mother of Jiang sighed helplessly on the other end of the phone, "I'm your father's ex-wife. Now, legally speaking, I have nothing to do with your father."

"But that doesn't change the fact that you gave birth to two children for dad. It's just a funeral. Even dad's friends can attend, not to mention you."

"Of course I have a point in saying that. Jing, you just have to help me and let me participate." Mother of Jiang continued on the phone.

Jiang Jing frowned unnaturally, "Mom, do you think someone will stop you from attending the funeral?"
