Chapter 39

The next morning, Jiang Jing arrived at her mother's apartment. She was going to take all of her mother and Su Muzhi's personal documents, and then went to the embassy to apply for visas. She had to send her mother and Su Muzhi away as soon as possible.

"Jing, why do you need Muzhi and my household registers?" Mother of Jiang handed the household registers to Jiang Jing. She was wondering Jiang Jing's idea.

Jiang Jing patted her mother's shoulder comfortingly, "Mom, I want to send you and elder brother Muzhi abroad."

"What, going abroad? Why?" Mother of Jiang was surprised. Jiang Jing was not such an impulsive person. She must have her plans before doing anything. Still, mother of Jiang felt that she had to ask clearly.

Jiang Jing took a deep breath and continued, "Mom, I went to see my cousin yesterday. The doctor said that he could receive better treatment in the United States, so I want to send him there. I'm really worried about him going there alone, so I want you to accompany him."

After listening to Jiang Jing's explanation, mother of Jiang nodded clearly, "Okay, I understand. Sure. As long as there's a way to cure Muzhi's illness, I can do anything."

Mother of Jiang and Su Muzhi's mother, Jiang Jing's eldest aunt, were sisters of the same mother. They had been very close since childhood. Therefore, mother of Jiang had always regarded her nephew as her own son. Since Muzhi was sick, mother of Jiang hoped that he would be cured soon.

"And mom, did you know that Muzhi's condition worsened yesterday because of grandpa?
" Jiang Jing thought it over and finally spoke out.

Mother of Jiang looked at Jiang Jing in shock, "How could it be? How could Muzhi's illness be related to your grandpa?"

"Mom, please believe me. The nurse said that grandpa came to talk to Muzhi alone last night. After grandpa left, elder brother Muzhi's condition worsened because of agitation." Jiang Jing couldn't believe it. Why did grandpa do that to elder brother Muzhi?

Mother of Jiang sat on the sofa in the living room and did not move. She closed her eyes and thought for a long time before she said to Jiang Jing, "So the reason you sent us abroad is to get away from your grandfather?"

Jiang Jing nodded, then looked at the household registers in her hands and other documents: "I'm still investigating father's death. I can't bear to see elder brother Muzhi leave me suddenly."

"Didn't your father die of a sudden cerebral hemorrhage?" Mother of Jiang was very confused. Why was Jiang Jing still investigating Jiang Zhongyong's death?

Jiang Jing shook her head and looked at her mother's face. Her mother had been much haggard over her father's death these days. Her hair, which was normally combed without a mess, was now fluffy and drooping at her temples. One could tell from her appearance that she had gone through a catastrophe.

"Mom, my dad died of a cerebral hemorrhage. I will find out why it happened. You don't have to worry. I will give you an answer."

Jiang Jing had been looking for evidence of what Jiang Zhongheng had done to her father in the hospital for the past few days. However, there was no surveillance video in the ward. She could not find any evidence at all. Still, Jiang Jing believed that God was fair. He would not wrongly accuse a good person and set free a bad person.

Mother of Jiang looked at her daughter's troubled face and couldn't bear to put too much pressure on her. Although she was also full of curiosity and hatred towards the real culprit of her husband's death, she still pretended not to care about it and comforted Jiang Jing, "Don't worry so much. Everything will be okay. You should do what you are doing first."

When Jiang Jing came to the embassy with the household registers, it was still nine o'clock in the morning. The embassy had just started to work. After Jiang Jing expressed her wishes to the staff, the staff began to prepare Jiang Jing for the relevant visa procedures.

"Here's the thing, Miss Jiang. According to your request, you want two two-year visas. But you are required to provide not less than one million US dollars as the domestic guarantor. Since you apply for two people's visas at a time, you need to have two million US dollars in your account."

The embassy staff explained to Jiang Jing in detail.

Jiang Jing was a little confused. There should be so much money in her account. And the sums of money was transferred to her account by Jiang Jingrun in case she needed it.

"Don't I have so much money in the account I just registered?"

The staff looked at the computer and shook her head, "No, the deposit on your account is much more than the amount we want. However, your account is a two-way account. Besides you, there is also the name of an account opener."

"Yes, Mr. Jiang Jingrun." The staff looked at the details of the bank account and explained it.

After Jiang Jing heard what the staff said, her mind went blank. It turned out that there was something wrong with the account that Jiang Jingrun opened for her! But she never thought that the joint account that two people opened would cause so much trouble. She still asked in a daze, "What do you mean?"

"The rules and regulations on our side require not only your signature, but also the signature of your joint account opener to complete the visa procedures for you." The embassy staff explained in detail.

Jiang Jing frowned, "So you still need Jiang Jingrun's signature?"

"Yes, that's right. We need him to come to the embassy with you to complete the formalities." Seeing Jiang Jing's troubled expression, the staff paused and said, "Or if you can, you can ask Mr. Jiang Jingrun to transfer this account to a bank and turn it into your personal account. That's fine too."

Jiang Jing shook her head. No matter what, he needed grandpa's approval to complete all of this. The problem was that grandpa treated elder brother Muzhi terribly, how could Jiang Jing send Su Muzhi abroad?

Jiang Jing still didn't give up, "But Jiang Jingrun is my biological grandfather. Isn't that okay?"

The embassy staff shook her head again, "I'm sorry, Miss Jiang, this is our rule.
"

"Well then, I won't do it now. Thank you." Jiang Jing knew that she would not be able to handle it today. She stood up, packed all her documents on the table, and put them in her bag.

When Jiang Jing walked out of the embassy, she called her grandfather, Jiang Jingrun.

"Hello - Jing, why did you call me today?" Jiang Jingrun's voice sounded lazy, as if he was lying in the sun.

Jiang Jing tried to calm down. She said, "Grandpa, I have something to do with the account you opened for me before. Can I ask you to transfer it all to me?"

Jiang Jing thought that Jiang Jingrun would refuse or make excuses, but what she did not expect was that Jiang Jingrun actually agreed, "Yes, of course, I originally prepared that sum of money as your dowry."

"Wait, Jing. Why do you suddenly ask for that?" Jiang Jingrun's voice shrieked on the phone. He didn't understand why Jiang Jing suddenly wanted the money.

Jiang Jing wanted to explain that she needed it for the company. However, Jiang Jingrun knew the company's financial situation very well, so she could only give up. She thought for a while and finally told the truth. Jiang Jing knew clearly that if grandfather wanted to know something, she could not hide it from him.

Instead of hiding like a mouse, it would be better to make it clear.

"I want to send my mother to the United States. I need a visa. And a large amount of money was required to be out under the name of the guarantor." Jiang Jing didn't mention Su Muzhi.

"Oh, I see. Can you tell me why you want to send your mother to America?" Jiang Jingrun's words indifferently. Jiang Jing knew that her grandfather was curious about the truth.

Jiang Jing thought for a moment, then said softly, "Because dad just left, I want mom to go out and relax."

"No, it's definitely not like that, Jing. I know you very well. You have more attachment to your mother than you think. There must be another reason why you want to send your mother away so suddenly. Well, when you are willing to tell me the truth, I'll change your account for you."

Jiang Jingrun said thoughtfully to Jiang Jing. He knew what Jiang Jing wanted to do.

"It seems that Su Muzhi should be got rid of." Jiang Jingrun murmured as he patted the handle of the wicker chair.

Jiang Jing was hung up by Jiang Jingrun. She didn't call a taxi. She was just walking on the road by herself. She silently blamed herself why she was involved in such a mess.

She replaced her younger sister and married Fu Jinrong, which could lead to the death of elder brother Muzhi. She felt the injustice of fate.

Jiang Jing had thought about whether she could ask Fu Jinrong for help. As long as Fu Jinrong helped, this problem would be solved. She also believed that if she asked Fu Jinrong, he would not refuse.

However, Jiang Jing gave up the idea. She did not want to trouble Fu Jinrong anymore. She had said from the beginning that she must solve it herself this time.

Since it was the problem of money, she could try to get money somewhere. Jiang Jing decided to find a way to open an account for herself or her mother, and get a large sum of money into this account, then mother and Su Muzhi could leave here successfully.

However, where could she get such a large sum of money? Jiang Jing thought for a while and decided to take the risk to transfer the shares of the company to her mother's name first. And then she would give her mother a large sum of money through dividends or profits.
